The Weekend Box Office had the movie "Act of Valor" taking the number one spot with $24.7 million, " Tyler Perry's Good Deeds" was number two with $16 million, and "Journey 2:The Mysterious Island" held on at number three with 13.5 million.

The newly released poster for the upcoming Marvel movie "The Avengers".

"Justice League: Doom" has been released on DVD and Bluray. Sight unseen, I highly recommend it. Producer Bruce Timm and company always manage to deliver the goods.

"Wrath of the Titans" the sequel to "Clash of the Titans" opens on March 30, 2012. Sam Worthington returns as the demigod Perseus and again takes on the diabolical Hades played by Ralph Fiennes.

Last, but not least. I recently watched an anime that I had been hearing a lot about. If you're a fan of anime like I am, then I recommend that you track down and watch the movie "Redline". This anime is a departure from all the computer generated graphics that have become commonplace and is a beautifully hand drawn testament to why anime rocks. The story about the biggest race in the galaxy and the racers who compete in it is classic, not to mention, downright fun.

The weekend box office had "Safe House" with Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds was number one with $24 million, with "The Vow" taking the number two position with $23.6 million, and coming in close at number three "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengance" with $22 million.

This trailer incorporates two things I really enjoy ... documentaries and "Star Trek". No, I'm really serious. William Shatner interviews five of the actors who also played "Star Trek" Captains. Sir Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Scott Bakula, and Chris Pine.

Very little has been revealed about the new series that follows the widely popular "Avatar: The Last Airbender" but if the teaser trailer for "Avatar: The Legend of Korra" is any indication, then I am truly looking forward to what promises to be an action packed series. The series takes place seventy-years after the end of "Avatar:The Last Airbender" follows the next Avatar, Korra, a young woman from the Southern Water Tribe.Having already mastered three of the four elements, she is learning airbending from Tenzin, the son of Aang and Kitara. All the while facing opposition from the ongoing anti-bending movement.

As if flying weren't challenging enough, why not experience being trapped on an airline with ghosts, and they're not friendly. Big surprise! This trailer really speaks for itself.

Weekend Box Office: "The Vow" was number one taking in $41.7 million, coming in big at second place was "Safe House" with39.3 million, and rounding out the top three "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' raked in $27.6 million.
God Bless JJ Abrams. I firmly believe that if he weren't involved with Fringe, that wickedly awesome show would not have had a ghost of a chance of lasting one season, let alone four on Fox. I'm just saying. I saw an interview where he indicated that should "Fringe" make it to next season he would rearrange his schedule to direct an episode. Be still my fanboy heart.

One trailer from Super Bowl Sunday that I forgot, only because there were so many, was "Battleship". The movie which is obviously based on the game and stars Liam Neeson,Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker, and Rihanna. Directed by Peter Berg this movie is not at all what you would expect.

Jeremy Renner continues to play badass characters. This time in "The Bourne Legacy" he plays an agent who was recruited into the same program that gave us Jason Bourne. If the expression actions speak louder than words is true prepare to cover your ears or be completely deafened.

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" is a trailer that has to be seen to be believed. What's even more unbelieveable is that the movie is produced by Tim Burton and directed by Timur Bekmambetov ("Wanted").

Another trailer which has to be seen to be believed is "Iron Sky". The Nazis set up a secret base on the moon in 1945 where they hide out and plan to return to power in 2018. This movie's premiere will take place in Berlin, Germany on  April 4, 2012. You really can't make this stuff up.

"Chronicle" was number one at the box office with $22 million, "The Woman in Black", featuring Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, came in second with $20.9 million, rounding out the top three was "The Grey" taking in $9.3 million in its second week.
One of the best moments during last Sunday's Super Bowl, not counting the game itself,  was the airing of a new Avengers trailer. This movie does not come out soon enough for my money.

"GI Joe: Retaliation" released a new trailer revealing more exciting action and scenes featuring Jinx, Snake Eyes ,Lady Jaye, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Roadblock and Bruce Willis. Awesome just isn't a strong enough word.

Met Life had a great commercial that had my memory working overtime. There were more cartoon characters in this commercial than they currently show on Saturday mornings. I'm just saying.

While not shown during the Super Bowl, I would be out of my mind not to show this trailer. When I first heard they were making this movie I was less than enthusiastic about it. Now I'm looking forward to seeing this movie on the big screen. Check out the latest trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man".

Due to some technical difficulties this post was delayed a few days. So, without any further delay.

"The Grey' was number one at the box office with a take of $20 million, "Underworld: Awakening" came in second raking in $12.5 million, and "One for the Money" with Katherine Heigel opened third with $11.8 million.

20th Century Fox has closed a deal with Director Matthew Vaughn for a sequel to "X-Men: The First Class". Bryan Singer will return as the producer with a script written by Simon Kinberg. The entire cast is scheduled to return as well.

A new episode of Young Justice entitled "Misplaced" is scheduled to air on Saturday,March 3 at 10 a.m. following a repeat of the first half of the one-hour "Green Lantern: The Animated Series" premiere. While not officially announced, the one hour block is believed to signal the start of the DC Nation programming initiative.

Relativity Media is partnering with Hasbro to develop a live-action movie based on "Stretch Armstrong". Wait, it gets better. Rumor has it that they wanted Taylor Lautner for the title character, but he passed on the project due to scheduling conflicts. Sometimes the humor just writes itself. For anyone who has no idea who or what Stretch Armstrong is, you probably weren't born until the nineties.

The trailer for the new Darkness II video game from 2K Games has been airing on television. The video game is based on the comic of the same name from Top Cow a division of Image Comics. Since you only get to see it if you're watching specific shows or channels, like G4 or Spike, I've included the trailer here.
