As previously reported, a teaser trailer for "The Avengers" can be seen following the credits for "Captain America: The First America". The teaser which reveals a variety of clips and shows much of the team is not yet available on the web, except one that was filmed in a movie theatre and isn't the best quality. As soon as, the official teaser is available I will be posting it.

In related news, "Harry Potter and The Deathy Hallows" came in number one with a weekend box office total of 168 million dollars. Ironically, it broke the record previously held by "The Dark Knight". Having read the books I was impressed at how brilliantly they adapted them for the big screen and the ended the series in grand fashion. An outstanding finale for an an outstanding movie franchise.

Reportedly, after the credits roll on "Captain America: The First Avenger" there will be a teaser trailer for the upcoming "Avengers" movie due in Summer 2012.
The cover of the relaunched Superman comic not only reboots to number one, it also features a brand new version of the iconic costume. The redesigned costume is one of the more notable changes to take place during the DC Relaunch Event. I find myself wondering if this new costume will make a big screen appearance in the upcoming Superman movie "The Man of Steel". As much as I enjoy change, I feel the costume can be updated without damaging the classic appeal. Decide for yourself.

SUPERMAN #1

"Transformers: Dark of the Moon" was number one at the box office earning 47 million and easily outdistancing the competition. Director Michael Bay's third installment of the franchise delivered a great plot with more action and some of the most jaw dropping, pulse pounding stunts and amazing special effects. This franchise has not rested on its laurels and definitely progressed with each movie.

Cartoon Network will rebroadcast the "Firebreather" movie, based on the Image Comics series, on Friday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. I highly recommend that you see it, if you haven't already. It doesn't matter if you haven't read any issues of the comic book series. The movie is so well written that it reveals everything required to explain and enjoy the movie. The animation is some of the best computer generated animation that I have seen on the small screen.

"Alphas" the upcoming Syfy series that follows a group of ordinary citzens whose brain anamolies imbue them with extraordinary mental and physical abilities.     The Super Hero Squad Show will return on Saturday, July 23 with two new episodes to air on Cartoon Network. The episodes entitled " The Saga of Beta Ray Bill" and "Days, Nights, and Weekends of Future Past!" are the first two parts of the "Six Against Infinity" arc. In the episode, "The Saga of Beta Ray Bill" ,Thor, determined to prove he is a true hero, bids farewell to Mjolnir and defends the Korbinites from a mysterious warlord named The Stranger. He is aided by Beta Ray Bill, a janitor on the space station. John Barrowman (Doctor Who,Torchwood) provides the voice of The Stranger. In the "Days, Nights, and Weekends of Future Past!" Falcon is thrown into another universe by the Dark Surfer and finds himself in a dark future with Sentinels everywhere, and the Scarlet Witch is now the evil Scarlet Empress! Falcon's only allies are a senile Magneto and a grizzled Reptil. The show is almost an animated version of The Super Hero Squad figures which spawned the show as opposed to a show spawning figures, the way it usually is. This series is a clever, witty winner and I look forward to new episodes.

Adrianne Palicki (Supernatural, Friday Night Lights) will reportedly play Lady Jaye in the G.I. Joe sequel from Paramount Pictures'.   Writer Neil Gaiman appeared CBS' The Late Show with Craig Ferguson last Tuesday where the two of discussed their affinity for Doctor Who. It was a feeling of peculiar power getting to write Doctor Who," Gaiman said, noting the show provided "the first mythology I ever loved." Gaiman who wrote "Sandman" for D.C. Comics Vertigo imprint, wrote the episode of Doctor Who entitled "The Doctor's Wife".

The Big News, D.C. Comics in a bold and audacious move, will launch 52 titles, some new some relaunched and revamped. 52 titles, 52 artists, and 52 writers. I sense a theme and I look forward to the teams, Justice League and Teen Titans, primarily. 52 new titles. Wow!
