Weekend Box Office - "Deadpool" starring Ryan Reynolds as Marvel's madcap "merc with a mouth" was number one for the second week in a row with $56.4 million, DreamWorks Animation "Kung Fu Panda 3" featuring the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Bryan Cranston, and Dustin Hoffman remained at number two with $12.5 million, and "Risen" the biblical story of the Resurrection of Jesus starring Joseph Fiennes and Tom Felton debuted at number three with $11.8 million.

                                                                              

"Gods of Egypt" opens this Friday. The epic adventure fantasy which features Gerard Butler as Set and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Horus, two of the legendary egyptian gods who are battling it out with the fate of mankind at stake. Also featuring Elodie Yung (Elektra in the upcoming season of Marvel's "Daredevil") as Hathor and Chadwick Boseman (T'Challa,The Black Panther in the upcoming movie Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War").

                                                                                  
                                                      

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" will open in theaters on March 25. The newly released official final trailer begins Batman (Ben Affleck) in action. Doing what he does best, dispensing his unique brand of justice. The trailer also gives us some scenes not seen in previous trailers. Love it or hate, this movie is already on track to be an undeniable success and one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer movie season.   

                                                                                    

Disney's "Alice Through the Looking Glass" opens in theaters on March 27. The sequel to the widely successful Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" and reunites the all-star cast in their previous roles.including the late Alan Rickman as the voice of the Blue Caterpillar, now seen as a butterfly.There will also be some new characters which includes Sacha Baron Cohen as the part human,part clock known only as Time. It promises to be quite more bizarre as its predecessor. 

                                                                              

Disney's "Pete Dragon" will arrive in theaters on August 12. The movie is a re-imagining of a classic Disney family movie of the same name about an orphan named Pete and his best friend, Elliot, who just happens to be a dragon.

Weekend Box Office - "Deadpool" starring Ryan Reynolds as the very offbeat Marvel anti-hero slayed the competition to take the number one spot with a whopping $135 million opening weekend, DreamWorks Animation "Kung Fu Panda 3" featuring the voices of Jack Black, Bryan Cranston, and Angelina Jolie came in at number two with $19.6 million, "How to Be Single" the romantic comedy starring Dakota Johnson and Rebel Wilson debuted in the number three spot with $18.7 million. 

                                                                               

Marvel's "Daredevil" returns to Netflix with a new season on March 18. The upcoming season will be chock full of  the action and drama that made the first season a hit. We will also be introduced to new characters to the series, The Punisher and Elektra, who will intensely shake thing up for Hell's Kitchen and Daredevil.

                                                                                  

 
"Gods of Egypt" opens in theaters on February 26. The upcoming movie stars Gerald Butler as Set and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Horus two of the legendary Egyptian Gods in a battle to decide the fate of the Egypt and humanity itself. This is an action/adventure fantasy of great scope and grand scale that looks awesome.

                                                                              

"Independence Day Resurgence" opens in theaters on June 24. The upcoming sequel to the hit 1996 movie "Independence Day" and features Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Vivica A. Fox, and Judd Hirsh returning to their original roles. This sequel intends to pull out all the stops to give bring us the same level of thrills and chills as the original movie. The latest trailer which aired during the Super Bowl highlights a few of the amazing scenes.

                                                                                     

"Jason Bourne" will see Matt Damon return to the role that he originated in the "Bourne Trilogy". Jason Bourne comes out of hiding with the memory of his past completely returned and ready to begin a new mission. Only no one is sure exactly what type of mission that will be, not even Bourne himself.

Weekend Box Office - DreamWorks "Kung Fu Panda 3" featuring the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Bryan Cranston, and Dustin Hoffman was number one with $21.2 million, "Hail Caesar!" The Coen Brothers latest movie with an all-star cast featuring Josh Brolin, Scarlett Johansson, and George Clooney was number two with $11.3 million,  and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" the intergalactic fantasy adventure held on at number three with $6.9 million.

"Deadpool" opens this Friday to great expectations. The long awaited movie features the titular "Merc with a mouth" in his first solo outing. Ryan Reynolds gets to uncork the genie from the bottle and portray this comic book antihero in the fashion he was meant to be portrayed, with an abundance of attitude and plenty of wisecracking humor. This promises to be unlike any other superhero movie we've previously seen.

                                                                                   
                                           


"The Jungle Book" opens in theaters on April 15. This latest trailer delivers more of what we loved in that original teaser. We are also treated to some great dialogue between the characters that reveals which character each of the actors is lending their voice to. We are definitely getting the live action Jungle Book that we have longed for. This movie looks to be another instant Disney classic.

                                                                                   
Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" unveiled the latest trailer during the Super Bowl. The new trailer features some great Easter eggs and some awesome new scenes, including a glimpse at which side each of the heroes have chosen to fight on.I know for a fact that there are still some scenes and surprises yet to be revealed. I can't even imagine this movie not being, at very least as amazing as "Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" premiered its latest trailer during the Super Bowl. The movie opens nationwide on May 27. We can look forward to a whole new look for the team and a very different role for Mystique following the events of "X-Men: Days of Future Past". "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" will be opening in theaters on June 3. This latest look at the upcoming sequel shows us more of the action and characters we can expect to see. We get our first look at the alien, Krang, complete with full robotic exosuit, and looking far more bad ass than on the original Turtles cartoon.

Weekend Box Office - DreamWorks Animation "Kung Fu Panda 3"  the continuing saga of Po and The Furious Five was number one with $41 million, "The Revenant" based on true events and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy was number two with $12.4 million, "Star Wars:The Force Awakens" the continuing intergalactic adventure that began in the original "Star Wars" Trilogy held on at number three with $10.7 million.

                                                                            

"Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" opens in theaters on Friday. Based on a 2009 parody novel that featured as its authors Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith. "The Flash" debuts a new episode tonight. The CW hit show that just keeps getting more amped up and constantly delivers more chills and thrills. "Arrow" continues to deliver the goods, which after an episode as mind boggling as last week's is no mean feat. Tomorrow's brand new episode has the team facing a villain who calls himself The Calculator.

                                                                                    

DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" has been an action packed gift of a show, and a new episode will air on Thursday. The spin off series of "The Flash and "Arrow", the show debuted strong in its two part pilot episode with an enjoyable and exciting blend of superheroics and time travel.

                                                                                          

"Batman: Bad Blood" is available in stores today on Blu-ray/DVD. The latest DC Universe animated movie follows the storyline of the previous animated movies "Son of Batman" and "Batman vs. Robin".

                                                                                   

"Justice League vs. Teen Titans" is an upcoming DC Universe animated movie scheduled to be available on Blu-ray/DVD and in stores on March 29. A team of young heroes featuring Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, Starfire, and Raven comes together when the Justice League falls under the control of an interdimensional demon known as Trigon.
