Weekend Box Office - Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" pulled a box office coup by returning to number one after two weeks out of the top spot with a $17.6 million dollar weekend, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" fell to number two after two weeks at number one with $16.8 million, and "If I Stay" starring Chloe Grace Moretz opened at number three with $16.3 million.

                                                                               

"Gotham" debuts on FOX Sept.22 and while the origin of Batman is at the heart of this show the city that spawned the legendary superhero is the focus of the show. This reveals how the murder of Bruce Wayne's parents caused the city to descend into chaos and madness and spawn such iconic and legendary figures like Catwoman, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, The Riddler, and many, many others.

                                                                                
                                                                                 
                                                                                        
"Constantine" is the upcoming NBC television series based on the character from the popular "Hellraiser" comic books. Despite having been portrayed in a movie of the same name starring Keanu Reeves, fans of the comic book series are really excited about this show. This appears to be a purer interpretation of the character and a great opportunity to delve into the richness of this popular character that a feature length movie just couldn't effectively manage.

                                                                             

"Arrow" was a breakout hit when it debuted on the CW Network two seasons ago. After two very successful seasons, already spawning a spin-off series,The Flash, this already intense series promises to take us to the next level in its upcoming third season.

                                                                                 

"The Flash" is the upcoming CW Network series that spins off from the "Arrow" series. This show focuses on Barry Allen, a police forensic scientist, who suddenly gains super speed after being struck by lightning which was unleashed after a test at a local scientific facility created a disaster.

Weekend Box Office - "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"  was number one for the second week in a row with $28.4 million, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" held on at number two bringing in $24.7 million, "Let's Be Cops" debuted at number three with $17.7 million.

                                                                                 

Frank Miller's "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" opens Friday. It's hard to imagine that the original "Sin City"  hit theaters ten years ago. Now Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez have reteamed to bring you this new installment. Is it as mean and gritty as the first one. You can decide for yourself. "Amazing Spider-Man 2" is the second installment and it features everybody's favorite wall crawler taking on two very powerful foes, Electro and The Green Goblin in a fight for his survival.

Weekend Box Office - "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" was number one with $65 million, Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" came in at number two in its second week with $41.5 million, and "Into the Storm" the tornado disaster movie debuted at number three with $18 million.

                                                                                   

Frank Miller's "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" based on and adapted from the graphic novels by author and artist Frank Miller, the creative mind behind the award winning "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns". This series is much darker and grittier and quite ultra violent.

       

                                                                                 
              
"Disney's Big Hero 6" based on a Marvel Comic of the same name has debuted a new trailer that gives us another glimpse at the adaptation of this barely known comic series.

                                                                                    

"Batman: Assault on Arkham" is arrives on DVD/Bluray today. Created as a companion piece to the Batman: Arkham Asylum video games.This animated feature focuses on the villains, specifically The Suicide Squad, a group of villains that undertake dangerous missions for a secret government organization in order to shorten their prison sentences...providing of course, they survive their missions.

Weekend Box Office - Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy", the latest offering in the Marvel cinematic universe was number one with a huge $94 million opening weekend, "Lucy" starring Scarlett Johansson was number two with $18.2 million, and "Get On Up" the James Brown biopic starring Chadwick Boseman ("42") opened at number three with $14 million.

                                                                                   

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" opens in November. The highly anticipated follow up to "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" has Katniss poised to lead the rebellion against the ruthless President Snow. "The Maze Runner" is the latest movie based on a popular book series. The series written by author James Dashner tells the story of a group of teenagers with no memories of their past who are trapped in the center of a giant maze which no one has ever escaped from. The trailer debuted at the San Diego Comic Con to much fanfare. Disney's "Into the Woods" is adapted from the popular musical by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The movie features popular fairytale characters who each come together during each of their quests. Check out this newly released first trailer.
