Finally, after years of waiting there is a sequel to "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief". I really enjoyed that movie and knew that since they're based on a series of books that there was a good possibility for sequels. Logan Lehrman returns as the half-human son of the Olympian god Poseidon. The first movie set up the world in which the half mortal children of the Olympians train as heroes and face perils much like their half-human predecessors did centuries ago.

I am looking forward to seeing this movie especially since it looks like an edgy retelling of the classic. "The Lone Ranger" starring Armie Hammer  and Johnny Depp. Talk about edgy, wait until you see Johnny Depp as Tonto. Awesome.

The latest trailer for "The Man of Steel" was released by Warner Bros. last week and it set the web on fire. We finally get  to see more of Jor-el and Lara, General Zod, Ma and Pa Kent, and of course, Lois Lane. In case you're one of the few people who missed seeing it check it out.

R.I.P.D. which stands for Rest In Peace Department is based on the Dark Horse comic by Peter M. Lenkov. The movie stars Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges. The trailer is a great intro to the characters and the story, so I'll let the trailer do it's job.

Finally, the sequel to "Kick-Ass" and what a doozy of a sequel it promises to be. This was the mild trailer for the movie and wait 'til you get a load of Jim Carrey. Wow! I literally did a double take. Enjoy.

The new Syfy television series "Defiance" aired last night and it did not disappoint. The show is a visual treat and well woven tale of humans and aliens working together in a town that signifies a new beginning on a very transformed Planet Earth.

The new movie featuring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster is a classic tale of the have and the have nots told with a science fiction twist. It promises to be a feast for the eyes and definitely fodder for the imagination. Don't take my word check out this trailer especially for how different both of the movie's stars look.

The new Star Trek movie comes out next month and in a recent interview J.J.Abrams  revealed that he is very excited for this movie's release and that the energy and scope of this movie is far greater than the previous movie.

From the director of "Phantasm" and "Bubba Hotep" comes what promises to be a new cult favorite. Describing this movie is  an exercise in futility. Check out the trailer and see exactly what I mean. The movie is currently available on Bluray and DVD.

As we get closer to the release date for "Iron Man 3" we also get more trailers and TV spots which reveal some juicy tidbits. This latest one reveals a surprise relating to Tony Stark's executive assistant/girlfriend Pepper Potts. I'm so looking forward to this movie.

The only way to set up the trailer for the movie "The Purge" is that in the tradition of all speculative fiction it takes place in a possible future where America is experiencing greater peace and prosperity than ever before, but at a cost. One night a year, for 12 hours all crime is legal, especially murder. Check this trailer out.

BBC America recently announced that "Doctor Who" fan favorites David Tennant and Billie Piper will be returning for the 50th anniversary special which has already begun filming in the U.K. for airing later this season. There are a lot of questions about what else we can expect from the 50th anniversary special. Aside from the cast that has already been revealed including actor John Hurt (Alien) in a yet undisclosed role. The only information from a recent official BBC press release is that "some of the all-star cast has been revealed".

Back in 1979, "The Evil Dead" was released and almost instantly became a cult classic. This Friday, the remake of that horror classic comes to theatres and promises to outshine the original. Feast your eyes on this trailer and remember this is not even the movie itself.
