Weekend Box Office: "Jigsaw" the latest installment of the "Saw" movie franchise was number one with $16.2 million, "Boo 2! A Madea Halloween" starring triple threat creator Tyler Perry was number two with $10 million, and "Geostorm" the disaster style movie starring Gerard Butler debuted at number three with $5.6 million. 

                                                                                         

Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open in theatres this Friday. The game-changing prelude to the Avengers Infinity War will feature Thor allied with his Avengers teammate The Hulk, The Valkyrie, and his adopted brother Loki against Hela, the Goddess of Death. "Justice League" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 17. This is the movie that will premiere the DC Comics superstar team of superheroes. With Superman gone and facing an imminent threat from another galaxy, Batman alongside Wonder Woman assemble a team of heroes to face this new enemy. Only united against this new enemy can they hope to successfully triumph when the odds seem to be almost overwhelming.

                                                                         

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is scheduled to open in theaters on December 15. The much-anticipated follow up to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will resume the epic story that its predecessor began. As Luke trains Rey in the ways of The Force, The First Order will continue to their movement towards galactic domination.

Marvel's "The Punisher" will premiere November 17 on Netflix. Frank Castle continues his one-man war against the criminal underworld in order to draw out the people responsible for killing his family. However, he discovers a connection to his time in the military, and a secret mission he undertook in while in service to his country. Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 3. Hela, The Goddess of Death has decided she should rule over everything, starting with Asgard. Thor must find the will and the power to defeat her before she destroys everything on her quest to be the supreme ruler of the Nine Realms. "X-Files" returns with all-new episodes in 2018 on FOX. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return to their roles as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The all-new 10 episode installment will be executive-produced by series creator Chris Carter. 

                                                                                       

"Constantine" comes to CW Seed as an all-new animated series that doesn't pull any punches. Featuring actor Matt Ryan voicing the character he played in the live-action series and in his appearances episodes of "Arrow". John Constantine protects the innocent from the forces of darkness armed with arcane knowledge. His cavalier attitude and wicked wit hide the reality of a man whose soul is already damned to hell but despite that, he will continue to fight the good fight and perhaps even find redemption.

Weekend Box Office: "Happy Death Day" the "Groundhog Day" inspired horror movie from Universal Studios and Blumhouse Productions was number one with 26.5 million, "Blade Runner 2049" the sequel to the 1984 cult classic "Blade Runner" featuring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford was number two with $15 million, and "The Foreigner" the action-thriller starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan was number three with $12.8 million.

Marvel's "Black Panther" is scheduled to open in theaters on February 16, 2018. Following his stunning debut in 2016's Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War", Chadwick Boseman reprises his role as Prince T'Challa a.k.a The Black Panther.  Pledged to protect his home Wakanda, the hidden and insular African nation which has now been thrust onto the world stage. "The New Mutants" is scheduled to open in theaters April 13. Based on the comic series that was a spin-off of "X-Men" and featuring students of the Xavier School that were learning to use their powers as a team on less threatening missions than those of The X-Men. However, the series began to explore darker territory than the main book and that seems to be the focus of the movie based on this trailer. "Stranger Things 2" premieres October 27 on Netflix with all episodes of the new season available for streaming. The town of Hawkins will continue to be threatened as a result of the rift that was opened to the dimension called The Upside Down in the first season. The new season promises to deliver more thrills, chills, and throwback nostalgia. Weekend Box Office - "Blade Runner 2049" starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford the sequel to the 1982 movie "Blade Runner" was number one with $31.5 million, "The Mountain Between Us" based on a novel by author Charles Martin and starring Idris Elba and Kate Winslett was number two with $10.1 million, and "IT" based on the bestselling novel by horror author Stephen King was number three with $9.6 million.


                                                                                      

"The Foreigner" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Jackie Chan stars in a movie that is a dramatic departure from his usual comedic roles. The movie tells the story of a London businessman who loses his daughter in a senseless act of politically motivated terrorism. DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 3 premieres beginning tonight at 9/8c on The CW. Time has become quite fractured as a result of their final battle against The Legion of Doom. Now they are faced with the daunting task of repairing the seriously damaged timestream. Marvel's "Runaways" premieres exclusively on Hulu with all episodes streaming beginning November 21. A group of teenagers find out that they have more in common than they realized. After stumbling onto a secret ceremony, they make the shocking discovery that their parents are all super-villains. Weekend Box Office: "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" the much-anticipated sequel to "Kingsman: The Secret Service" was number one with $16.975 million, "IT" based on the bestselling horror novel by author Stephen King was number two with $16.93 million, and "American Made" starring Tom Cruise and based on a true story debuted at number three with $16.758 million.

                                                                                       

"Blade Runner 2049" scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. From executive producer Ridley Scott and director Denis Villeneuve, taking place thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling) discovers a secret that sends him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford). A former LAPD blade runner who went missing thirty years ago. Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 3. A close encounter with the Hela, the goddess of Death, sends Thor on a path that lands him in the arena of The Grandmaster. There he comes face to face in combat with his Avengers teammate, The Incredible Hulk. Disney/Pixar's "Coco" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 22. In order to overcome his family's prejudice against music, Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician undertakes a journey to the Land of the Dead. Hoping to meet his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz, an accomplished musician who is also his great, great grandfather.

                                                                           

"Arrow" premieres Season 6 on its new night, Thursday, October 12 on the CW. Oliver begins to pick up the pieces after last seasons explosive finale episode. He continues to focus on his mission to protect Star City from forces that would threaten it. He must find a way to balance his dual life as Oliver Queen and his costumed alter ego, The Green Arrow.
