Weekend Box Office - "Hotel Transylvania 2" the sequel to the hit animated "Hotel Transylvania" was number one with $47.5 million, "The Intern" starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway was number two with $18.2 million, and "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" the sequel to "The Maze Runner" held on at number three with $14 million.

"Doctor Who" new season has begun and this season is also very likely the last for his companion Clara. Actress Jenna Louise Coleman has announced that she is ending her run on "Doctor Who". "Pan" is the upcoming movie that redefines the story of Peter Pan. The movie finds Peter as a young boy in an orphanage before he manages to hitch a ride and find his way to Neverland. Weekend Box Office - "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" the sequel to the movie "The Maze Runner" was number one with $30.3 million, "Black Mass" the biopic detailing how James "Whitey" Bulger became one of the most ruthless gangsters in the history of Boston was number two with $23.3 million, and "The Visit" the found footage style horror film from writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan was number three with $11.3 million.

                                                                                

Disney's "Jungle Book" will hit theaters next spring. The first teaser trailer for the movie directed by Jon Favreau ("Elf","Iron Man") has been released and it looks amazing. Weekend Box Office - "The Perfect Guy" starring Sanaa Lathan and Michael Ealy was number one with $26.7 million, "The Visit" from writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan and producer Jason Blum was number two with $25.6 million, and "War Room" the family friendly inspirational movie held on at number three with $7.4 million.

                                                                                

"Gotham" season 2 premieres on Monday Sept.21. After the mind blowing ending of the first season we knew the producers had some big surprises in store for us. Well, after seeing the recent trailers and sneak peeks on Hulu and You Tube, all I can say is that "big surprises" is a massive understatement.

                                                                                    
                                     

"Blindspot" premieres on Monday, Sept. 21. A new series from Greg Berlanti the executive producer of "Arrow" and "The Flash" starring Jaimie Alexander ("Thor", "Thor:The Dark World") and Sullivan Stapleton (HBO's "Strike Back", "300: Rise of an Empire"). This show looks very exciting and quite promising!

                                                                               

"The Flash" returns on Tuesday, Oct 6 and begins season two with a bang. Spoiler alert: When season one ended in amazing fashion with Eddie Thawne sacrificing himself to end the Reverse Flash and a huge singularity opening over Central City that was just the tip of the iceberg. The new season opener promises to reveal the rest and it's a doozy.

                                                                                    

"Arrow" season four premieres on Wednesday, Oct 7. Season three ended in such typical fashion for this show with a whole lot of jaw dropping moments. The trailer which recently debuted at DRAGONCON will have you shaking your head and trying to keep your jaw from hitting the floor.

Weekend Box Office - "Straight Outta Compton" the story of how the ground breaking rap quintet NWA changed the musical landscape was number one with $13.2 million, "War Room" the family friendly drama about how the power of prayer keeps a family from falling apart was number two with $11 million, and "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" the powerhouse spy action thriller held on at number three with $8.3 million.

                                                                                

"Hotel Transylvania 2" will be in theaters on Sept.25. The sequel to the hit animated family friendly and very funny "Hotel Transylvania" sees Dracula trying to keep his daughter from moving to California, by teaching his grandson to bring out his inner vampire, with no encouraging results.

                                                                               
                                      

"Mad Max: Fury Road" is available in stores today on Blu-ray/DVD. Director George Miller's successful return to the character and world that he created over 20 years ago. This latest movie stars Tom Hardy as Max, Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa, and Nicholas Hoult as Nux. The movie has become a box office success that has already spawned a sequel and a possible spin-off with Charlize Theron's character Furiosa, who has become a fan favorite.

                                                                                

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: "Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom" is the latest LEGO Justice League movie that is available in stores on Blu-ray/DVD. Criminal mastermind, Lex Luthor, puts together a team of the world's most dangerous super villains in order to pull off the robbery of the century.
