Weekend Box Office: "Mission Impossible: Fallout" the latest film in the "Mission: Impossible" franchise starring Tom Cruise was number one with $61.5 million; "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" the comedy/musical headed up by an all-star cast headed up by Meryl Streep and Cher was number two with $15 million; and "Equalizer 2" the action/thriller starring Denzel Washington in the first sequel of his career was number three with $14 million.

                                                                                      

"Glass" is scheduled to open in theaters on January 18, 2019. Director M.Night Shyamalan brings together the stories and characters of two of his previous successes the 2000 movie "Unbreakable" and the 2016 movie "Split" in his upcoming movie "Glass". Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, and James McAvoy reprising their previous roles. Also featuring Sarah Paulson, Anya Taylor- Joy, Spencer Treat Clark and Charlayne Woodard.

"Iron Fist" Season 2 debuts on Sept.7 on exclusively on Netflix with all episodes available for streaming. Danny Rand continues to make good on his promise to a friend to protect the city. Weekend Box Office: "Equalizer 2" the action-thriller starring Denzel Washington in the first sequel of his career was number one with $35.8 million, "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" the sequel musical to the 2008 movie "Mamma Mia!" was number two with $34.4 million, and "Hotel Transylvania 3" the family-friendly animated movie featuring the voices of Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, and Andy Samberg was number three with $23.2 million.

                                                                                         

"Aquaman" is scheduled to open to open in theaters this December. Following his debut in "Justice League" The King of the Seven Seas will star in his own movie. Jason Momoa reprises his role in as Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman. Director James Wan brings the wonder and the terror of the seven seas to life in this superhero action/thriller that reveals the origin of one of the most underrated superheroes. "SHAZAM!" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 5, 2019, Foster kid Billy Batson (Asher Angel) in an act of unusual selflessness catches the attention of the powerful wizard who presents Billy with the ability to transform himself with a single magic word into "The World's Mightiest Mortal",  an adult with superpowers know as SHAZAM (Zachary Levi). "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 16 The second of five new adventures set in writer J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World. As promised after his capture in the last film, dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald has escaped and is amassing followers. Albus Dumbledore turns to his former student Newt Scamander to put a stop to Grindlewald's plans unaware of the dangers ahead of him. Weekend Box Office. "Hotel Transylvania" the family-friendly animated movie featuring the voice talents of Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, and Andy Samberg was number one with $44.1 million, Marvel Studios "Ant-Man and The Wasp" the sequel to 2015 movie Marvel's "Ant-Man" starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily in the title roles
was number two with $30 million, and "Skyscraper" the action-thriller starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson debuted at number three with $25 million.

                                                                                  

"Equalizer 2" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 20. Directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington reprising his role as Robert McCall in the first sequel of his career.  The action -thriller where the mysterious Robert McCall hands out his special brand of justice for strangers who have been exploited and oppressed finds him turning up the heat and delivering justice for someone who was a dear friend.

                                                                               
                                                                             

"The Darkest Minds" is scheduled to open in theaters on August 3, Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and based on the novel by Alexandra Bracken.  When teens suddenly develop powerful new abilities, the government declares them a threat and detains them. A sixteen-year-old girl named Ruby escapes and joins a group of similar teens seeking safe haven. Weekend Box Office: Marvel Studios "Ant-Man and The Wasp" the sequel to the successful 2015 movie Marvel's "Ant-Man" was number one with $76 million; Disney*Pixar's "Incredibles 2" the long-awaited follow-up to the 2004 movie Disney*Pixar's "The Incredibles" was number two with 29 million;"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" the action-thriller starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard and an island filled with dinosaurs was number three with $28.6 million.

                                                                              

"Skyscraper" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Dwayne Johnson stars in this action-thriller as Will Sawyer, a U.S. war veteran who must save his family from a fire in the tallest building in the world. "Hotel Transylvania 3" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. The latest movie in the franchise finds the monsters leaving the hotel and going on a cruise. However, their fun vacation becomes a perilous journey that could see the end of the monsters.

                                                                            

"The Spy Who Dumped Me" is scheduled to open in theaters on August 3. Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon star in this action-comedy where two friends suddenly find themselves on the run and hunted by assassins. Mila Kunis plays a young woman whose world is flipped upside down when it's revealed that her ex-boyfriend is a C.I.A. operative. 

                                                                                

"The Meg" is scheduled to open in theaters on August 10. Director John Turteltaub (the "National Treasure" movies) helms this sci-fi action-thriller starring Jason Stratham and a star-studded international cast. The crew of an international undersea observation program makes a shocking discovery. A 75-foot long prehistoric shark known as a Megalodon is alive and well in 2018. Weekend Box Office: "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard was number one with $60 million; Disney*Pixar's "The Incredibles 2" the long-awaited sequel to the 2004 movie Disney*Pixar's "The Incredibles", and "Sicario: Day of the Soldado" the follow-up to the 2015 movie "Sicario" debuted at number three with $19 million.

                                                                                      

Marvel Studios "Ant-Man and The Wasp" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Scott Lang a.k.a. Ant-Man returns to fight after his predecessor Dr. Hank Pym and Hank's daughter Hope Van Dyne enlist is aid against a new threat. "The Predator" is scheduled to open in theaters on September 14. As if they weren't deadly enough the universe's deadliest hunters have given themselves an upgrade. "Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 13. Directed and co-written by Genndy Tartovsky (" Dexter's Laboratory", "Samurai Jack") in this latest addition to the franchise, the monsters have left the hotel and are vacationing on a cruise. Unexpectedly, Dracula finds himself attracted to Erica, the ship's female captain who has a sinister secret that is a threat to all monsters.
