Weekend Box Office: "How to Train Your Dragon 2: The Hidden World" the CG animated family-friendly final entry in the franchise was number one with $55.5 million; "Alita: Battle Angel" the sci-fi action movie from producer James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez based on the popular anime and manga character was number two with $12 million; and "The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part" the animated sequel movie featuring  Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks reprising their voice roles was number three with $10 million.

Disney's "Frozen 2" is scheduled to open in theaters on Nov.22. The sequel to the highly successful Disney animated feature "Frozen". Marvel Studios "Captain Marvel" is scheduled to open in theaters on March 8. Brie Larson stars as Captain Carol Danvers a.k.a. Captain Marvel in latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is the origin story of one of the powerhouses of the MCU that takes place in the early 1990s. The introduction of the character that will be a gamechanger heading into the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

                                                                                

Marvel's "Cloak and Dagger" returns for Season 2 Thursday, April 4 on Freeform. Tandy and Tyrone are back. Despite successfully saving New Orleans by averting a disaster from the Roxxon corporation unsafely tapping into a primal energy source. Weekend Box Office: "Alita: Battle Angel" the anime-inspired sci-fi action movie from producer James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez was number one with $27.8 million, "The LEGO movie 2: The Second Part" the family-friendly sequel movie featuring Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks reprising their voice roles was number two with $21.2 million, and "Isn't it Romantic" the comedic poke romantic comedies starring Rebel Wilson debuted at number three with $14.2 million.

                                                                                

"How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. DreamWorks Animation presents the latest animated film in the franchise that began with the 2010 movie "How to Train Your Dragon". "The Curse of La Llorona" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 19. The horror movie based on the terrifying Mexican legend, La Llorona -- The Weeping Woman. When she was alive she drowned her children in a fit of jealous rage and then threw herself in the river to drown while weeping in pain at what she had done. Disney*Pixar's "Toy Story 4" is scheduled to open in theaters on June 21. The toys find their routine turned on its ear with the introduction of a reluctant toy, Forky. While on a road trip adventure, Woody realizes that the world is a big place for a toy. Weekend Box Office.  "Lego Movie 2: The Second Part" the sequel movie featuring Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks reprising their voice roles from the first movie was number one with $34.4 million; "What Men Want" the comedy starring Taraji P. Henson was number two was $19 million, and "Cold Pursuit" the revenge-driven action thriller starring Liam Neeson was number three with $10.8 million. 

                                                                                

"Alita: Battle Angel" is scheduled to open in theaters this week. Producer James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez bring the classic anime movie character Alita to the big screen. This big screen adaptation of the anime movie which is based on the graphic novel ("manga") series: "Gunnm" by Yukito Kishiro and adapted into a screenplay by James Cameron, Laeta Kalogridis, and Robert Rodriguez. "Shaft" is scheduled to open in theaters on June 14. This action comedy is the bridge that connects this iconic character past, present, and future. Bringing together three generations 1970s Shaft in the form of original actor Richard Roundtree, Samuel L. Jackson from the 2000 movie "Shaft", and introducing John Shaft Jr. played by Jessie T. "Justice League vs. The Fatal Five" is scheduled for release on Digital HD beginning March 30 and 4K HD, Bluray/DVD on April 16. Kevin Conroy, George Newbern, and Susan Eisenberg reprise their voice roles from the "Justice League: Animated Series as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman respectively. This DC Universe animated feature has the Justice League facing off against The Fatal Five, a team of supervillains from the 31st century

Weekend Box Office: "Glass" starring Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, and James McAvoy  reprising their characters from previous M.Night Shyamalan films was number one with $9.5 million; "The Upside" starring Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston, and Nicole Kidman was number two with $8.8 million, and "Miss Bala" the drug cartel action drama starring Gina Rodriguez debuted at number three with $6.7 million.

                                                                               

"Hobbs & Shaw" is scheduled to open in theaters on August 2. Director David Leitch ("Deadpool 2") helms this spinoff from the "Fast and Furious" franchise. Starring Dwayne Johnson as Luke Hobbs and Jason Stratham as Deckard Shaw reprising their roles from the blockbuster movie franchise. Marvel Studios "Avengers: Endgame" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 26. Following the catastrophic events of "Avengers: Infinity War", the surviving heroes are dealing with the aftermath of Thanos' actions. As the world tries to move on the heroes work on any way possible of undoing the decimation and overcome loss and restore all the lives lost back to the universe and undo what Thanos did.
