A new trailer for Director JJ Abrams "Star Trek Into Darkness" was recently Sreleased and in this trailer we hear Bruce Greenwood who plays Christopher Pike, previous captain of the Starship Enterprise, addressing Captian Kirk followed by the voice of the movie's villain played by Benedict Cumberbatch. Weekend Box Office - The 23rd official James Bond movie "Skyfall" captured the number one spot at the box office making $10.8 million, "Rise of the Guardians" moved into the number two spot bringing in $11 million, and "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2" slid into the number three spot with $8.9 million.
 
 
                                                                                 
                                                                           
 
 
Paramount Pictures released the trailer for "Star Trek Into Darkness" and we get our first look at Benedict Cumberbatch ("Sherlock", "War Horse") as the movie's villian John Harrison. Frankly, I'm not buying that. J.J. Abrams is trying to pull a Christopher Nolan misdirect on us. Check out the trailer. I posted the Japanese Version because it's longer. Unofficial word is this movie is to DC want "Iron Man" was to the Marvel movies. I can only hope and pray. Weekend Box Office - "The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn Part 2" was number one for the third week in a row with $17.1 million, James Bond "Skyfall" held on to number two with $16.9 million, and "Lincoln" continued to generate Oscar buzz at number three with $13.3 million.

Weekend Box Office - "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt.2" was number one for the second week in a row with $43 million, the latest installment of the James Bond franchise, "Skyfall" came in a strong second with $36 million, and "Lincoln" was number three bringing in $25 million and creating a major Oscar buzz for star Daniel Day Lewis. Two new movie opened at fourth and fifth that deserve mention, based on a popular children's book series "Rise of the Guardians" the new animated movie opened with $24 million and "Life of Pi" from Director Ang Lee and based on the book of the same name opened with $22 million.
 
 
                                     
                                                                   
 
 
 
   Director Bryan Singer took to Twitter and revealed that Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan will be reprising their roles as Professor Xavier and Magneto in "X-Men: Days of Future Past". James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult from "X-Men: First Class" will also be reprising their roles.   The Syfy 20th Anniversary Special will air on Monday Dec.10 at 9pm.   "Rise of the Guardians" opens tomorrow. The Dreamworks animated movie is based on the book series "The Guardians of Childhood" by William Joyce, who also worked on the screenplay. The voice cast features Chris Pine as Jack Frost, Hugh Jackman as Bunnymund/The Easter Bunny, Isla Fisher as The Tooth Fairy, Alec Baldwin as North/Santa Claus, and Jude Law as the villian Pitch.

Weekend Box Office - The latest James Bond movie "Skyfall" owned the box office making $90 million in it's first weekend, "Wreck-it Ralph" was number two with $33 million, and at number three was the Denzel Washington action/drama "Flight" making $15 million.
 
 
 
                                                                                  
 
 
      Director Matthew Vaughn ("Kick Ass", "X-Men: The First Class") is rumored to be the front runner to direct the new Star Wars movies. There hasn't been official word yet but there is even speculation that this is the reason that he pulled out of the new X-Men movie. In related news, Michael Arndt, the Academy Award winning screenwriter for "Little Miss Sunshine" and "Toy Story 3" has been confirmed as the writer of the screenplay for Star Wars: Episode VII.
 
 
 
 
                                                                      
 
 
 
   If you are unable to wait until 2015 for a Star Wars fix. I highly recommend "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" on Cartoon Network. This is no silly animated show for kids. This show is like the movie serials that first inspired George Lucas to make the original "Star Wars".
 
 
 
 
                                                                          
 
 
 
   "The Amazing Spider-Man" is currently available on Bluray/DVD and a sequel is already in the works. The script is finished and production starts in February. Mark Webb will be returning as director. Sony Pictures has scheduled the sequel for May 2, 2014
 
 
 
                                                                            
 
 
 
    If you haven't seen this trailer then you're in for a treat. This trailer blew me away when I first saw it and the idea of Brad Pitt in a zombie is intriguing. Why not, he's already played a vampire. Warner Home Video has set the release date of "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2" for Jan.29, 2013. The  second part of this adaptation of the award winning graphic novel features a final confrontation between two deadly enemies and a knock down drag out battle between two legendary superheroes. Weekend Box Office - "Argo" starring and directed by Ben Affleck was number one with $12.5 million, "Cloud Atlas" the epic fantasy from the Wachowski siblings was number two with $10.5 million, and at number three the animated comedy directed by GenndyTartakovsky ("Dexter's Laboratory","Samurai Jack") "Hotel Transylvania" with $9.0 million.
 
 
 
                                                               
                                                                         
 
 
Lucasfilm will now be a part of the Walt Disney Co.who will purchase the company for $4.05 billion. Friday night, October 26 will see the premiere of "Mockingbird Lane", an updated version of sixties classic TV series "The Munsters". NBC will actually be airing the show as a Halloween special and a lead in to "Grimm".     Marvel has released the first trailer for "Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United". The animated movie teams the two powerhouse heroes against the powerful energy villain Zzzax. Zzzax uses his power to take control of the armored Mandoids and a few of the Iron Man's different suits of armor to attack the heroes.    Madhouse the anime studio that brought us anime versions of "X-men", "Wolverine", "Blade", and "Iron Man" has done it again. "Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore" revists the anime "Iron Man" and adding a cast of characters that include "War Machine", "Black Widow", "Hawkeye", "Nick Fury", and "The Punisher".
