Weekend Box Office - "Straight Outta Compton" the biopic highlighting the rise of the groundbreaking rap group NWA was number one for the second week with $26.8 million, "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" action adventure spy vs. spy thrill ride held the number two spot with $11.7 million, and "Sinister 2" the sequel to the sleeper hit movie "Sinister" debuted in the number three spot with $10.6 million.

"Victor Frankenstein" is a re-telling of the classic Frankenstein story starring James McAvoy as the titular mad scientist and Daniel Radcliffe as his assistant Igor. The movie does not seem to take itself to seriously, but also manages not to stray to far into comedy territory. "Blindspot" the upcoming NBC show debuts Monday, Sept. 21. Weekend Box Office - "Straight Outta Compton" the NWA biopic was number one at the box office with a debut at $56 million, "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" the action/spy thriller was number two with $17 million, and "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." the retro cool spy film was number three with $13.5 million.

                                                                               

"Hitman: Agent 47" is opening in theaters this Friday. "American Ultra" starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart opens in theaters this Friday. The movie features Jessie Eisenberg as a stoned out slacker who unbeknown to him and everyone around him is a government trained assassin, least of all his girlfriend played by Kristen Stewart. The movie also stars Topher Grace, Connie Britton, and John Leguizamo.

                                                                                 

"Sinister 2" is the sequel to the sleeper hit movie "Sinister". The movie promises to amp up all the thrills and shocks of the previous movie. Weekend Box Office - "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" was number one movie for the second week with $29.4 million,  "Fantastic Four" the re-imaging of the Marvel comics superhero team was number two with $26.2 million, and "The Gift" starring Jason Bateman, Rebecca Hall, and Joel Edgerton debuted at number three with $12 million.

"The Man from U.N.C.L.E." opens in theaters on Friday. Weekend Box Office - "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" starring Tom Cruise and the other members of the IMF delivered the goods which propelled the movie to number one with $56 million, "Vacation" the update of the classic Chevy Chase comedy starring Ed Helms and Christina Applegate as the next generation of the Griswold family to go on an ill conceived summer road trip was number two with $14.9 million, and Marvel's "Ant-Man" the latest addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe starring Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lily, Corey Stoll, and Michael Douglas held on at number three with $12.6 million.

                                                                             


"The Man from U.N.C.L.E." debuted this trailer at Comic-Con. The movie which will open in theaters next week is director Guy Ritchie's big screen remake of the popular sixties television series. Set in the sixties, the movie teams American agent Napoleon Solo with Illya Kuryakin his Russian counterpart in order to battle a secret criminal organization that threatens the entire world. 

                                                                                  

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." begins its third season on September 29th. Expect the show to gain momentum especially given that their story lines tie into the movies. They have even had some crossover guest stars, Based on news from Comic-Con they plan to seriously up the ante this coming season. "Deadpool" is the upcoming movie that fans of the character have been screaming for since his live-action debut in "X-Men Origins:Wolverine". FOX greenlit the project after a scene filmed to sell the studio on making the movie leaked online to overwhelming fan response.
