The new SyFy television series Continuum premiered last week and I nearly missed it because it really flew under the radar. The show is familiar sci-fi premise with a some very new twists and turns. The star Rachel Nichols ( "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra", " Star Trek") plays Kiera Cameron a detective from the year 2077 finds herself trapped in present day Vancouver and searching for ruthless criminals from the future. I recommend checking this show out.

The Doctor Who Christmas Special revealed a major plot twist and a new mystery for the upcoming season (Spoiler alert! or as River Song would say "Spoilers!") Clara the woman who is to become the new companion dies, for the second time. It's revealed that she is somehow "Souffle Girl" Oswin Osgood from the episode "Asylum of the Daleks". The episode ends with The Doctor going off in the TARDIS to search for her next incarnation, who we witness in the present day London cutting through the very cemetary she was buried in during the Victorian era. I can hardly wait for the new season. Also, the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary is on the horizon and I'm eager to see what they have planned. Enjoy the teaser trailer from BBC One.

The premise is a bit cheesy but the stars who signed on and the trailer makes the movie look intriguing. Look for Gemma Arterton ("Quantum of Solace", "Prince of Persia:The Sands of Time"), Jeremy Renner ("The Avengers", "The Bourne Legacy"), and Famke Janssen ( The "X-Men" franchise, "Taken 2") who are prominently featured in the trailer.

"Warm Bodies" is an upcoming new movie that about a zombie boy who falls in love with a human girl . When I first heard about this movie I thought,"Boy, are they running the romantic comedy genre into the ground." I had to laugh at my unintentional play on words. However, after seeing the trailer I was a bit impressed. Especially, since as anyone who knows me is aware. I am really not a fan of zombie movies. Check out the trailer and judge for yourself.

"The Batmobile Documentary" is one of the many special features on the two disc DVD and the Bluray for "The Dark Knight Rises". I have watched it more than a few times and can easily say that it is one of the most exciting and interesting special features I've ever seen. I definitely recommend you check it out.

Any time there is a movie where stage magic plays a part and the line is blurred between reality and fantasy I'm hopeful they won't ruin it by a big reveal that completely ruins the illusion. This movie looks smart enough that they may pull it off.
