The Fringe team returns for a final season premiering Friday, Sept.28 at 9/8c. The show has been a breath of fresh air especially on Fox. The show which has been one of the best pieces of sci-fi on television this side of "The X-Files". Rumor has it that the show's Executive Producer J.J. Abrams plans to direct an episode. Stars of the show Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson have revealed that the new season will pick up in the future that we saw in the season four episode "Letters of Transit". This show just gets better and better.

Last and hardly least is a trailer of a new movie featuring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry. I don't know how to describe this movie other than to say it truly looks promising. The movie is brought to us by Andy and Lana ( formerly Larry) Wachowski who gave us "The Matrix". If you haven't previously seen it here's a look at "Cloud Atlas".

I could think of no more appropriate response to the tragedy in Colorado than by sharing what director Christopher Nolan posted on "The Dark Knight Rises" Facebook page.

"Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of The Dark Knight Rises, I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community.

I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime.

The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me.

Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families."

Warner Bros. released a teaser trailer for next year's blockbuster movie event "The Man of Steel". I don't know if this is by accident or design, but the movie's star Henry Cavill bears a striking resemblance to "Smallville" star Tom Welling.

One of the best shows on televison, Syfy's Alpha's has returned for a second season which promises to be even better than last season, and for anyone who hasn't seen this show, that will be quite an achievement. I highly recommend this show.

Michael Fassbender will produce and act in a movie based on the popular video game series "Assassin's Creed". Fassbender is rumored to be taking on the role of bartender Desmond Miles and perhaps one of his hooded ancestors. The famous comic book character created by Jean-Claude Forest and made famous in the 1968 Jane Fonda movie "Barbarella" is coming to television. "Drive" director Nicolas Refn has teamed with executive producer Martha De Laurentis and Gaumont International Television to create a television series based on the iconic interplanetary heroine. De Laurentis and Gaumont International Television are also working on the NBC series featuring the ficitional Tom Harris cannibal/mastermind Hannibal Lecter. I'm not making this up I promise you.

Colin Farrell is quickly becoming the remake master. So far, he's been in remakes of "S.W.A.T","Miami Vice", and "Fright Night", His next movie is a remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger feature "Total Recall". Fans of the original movie were outraged to find out the remake wouldn't feature a trip to Mars and takes place exclusively on Earth. However, if the trailer is any indication we won't miss the interplanetary storyline.

The new Ben Stiller movie has a trailer that really does not reveal the true nature of this movie. The newer trailers are more revealing and turns a boring concept into what promises to be a comedy with an edge. In addition, you have Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill in this movie. Check out the trailer and see what I'm talking about.

You get the brilliant send-up of classic kung fu movies, "The Man With The Iron Fists".
