Weekend Box Office - Disney's "Moana" the animated movie featuring the voices of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho as "Moana' was number one with $55.5 million, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" from author J.K. Rowling the creative mind behind the "Harry Potter" series was number two $45.1 million, and Marvel's "Doctor Strange" The Master of the Mystic Arts from the Marvel Comics was number three with $ 13.3 million. 

                                                                        

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" opens in theaters on December 16. The prequel tale that occurs before "Star Wars: A New Hope". The details behind the mission in which a small band of rebels led by Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) managed to steal the plans of the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction.

"Passengers" opens in theaters on December 21. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt star as Aurora and Jim, two passengers on an intergalactic journey to a new home on another planet when their hibernation pods wake them up...90 years too soon. With only each other as company they are prepared to make the long journey awake together when the ship begins to malfunction and threatens everyone aboard the vessel, asleep and awake.   

                                                                             

"Assassin's Creed" opens in theaters on December 21. Weekend Box Office - "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" set in the Wizarding World of 1920's New York was number one with $75 million, Marvel's "Doctor Strange" the origin story of The Marvel Comics Master of the Mystic Arts was number two with $17.6 million, and DreamWorks Animation "Trolls" featuring the voice talents Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick was number three with $17.5 million.

                                                                                  

"Kong: Skull Island" is scheduled for theaters March 10, 2017. The producers of Godzilla have re-imagined the classic giant ape King Kong for a brand new generation. In this origin tale, a team of scientists and soldiers travel to the mysterious Skull Island and discover that not only do monsters exists, but the island is home to one that has earned the title of King.   

                                                                                 
                                                                             

"Supergirl" debuts a new episode next week that kicks off "Heroes vs. Aliens", the 4 night crossover event on Monday, November 28. All four shows in the CW Network's DC TV superhero lineup will take part in this event that takes place all week long beginning next Monday with "Supergirl", followed by "The Flash", continuing in "Arrow", and concluding in DC's "Legends of Tomorrow". 


"Justice League Dark" will be available in stores on February 7, 2017. When confronted by a series of paranormal events that defy even their powers, The Justice League decides that they require a different approach to the problem. Batman forms a team of heroes specifically suited to dealing with the supernatural. This second league comprised of mystical heroes accustomed to dealing with dark supernatural forces like the one that now threatens the world.

Weekend Box Office - Marvel's "Doctor Strange" starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the Master of the Mystic Arts from the Marvel Comics was number one with $43 million, DreamWorks Animation’s"Trolls" the family friendly CG animated movie featuring the voice talents of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick was number two with $35 million, and "Arrival" the alien first contact drama starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whittaker was number three with $24 million. 

                                                                     

Disney's "Beauty and Beast" opens in theaters on March 17, 2017. The live action version of the now classic animated movie features Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as The Beast. The movie also features Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as Lefou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, and Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza.

                                                                        
                                                                         

"Ghost in the Shell" scheduled to open in theaters on March 31, 2017. Based on the internationally acclaimed manga and anime series, the movie stars Scarlett Johansson as The Major a human cyborg hybrid and the leader of the elite special ops task force Section 9. Accustomed to facing the worst criminals and extreme threats, Section 9 is tasked to stop an enemy intent on wiping out the technological advances that made The Major's cyborg body possible.

                                                                             

"Valerian and The City of a Thousand Planets" scheduled to open in theaters July 2017. This movie is based on a classic French graphic novel series "ValĂ©rian & Laureline" that served as an inspiration for the "Star Wars" films. A passion project for writer/director Luc Besson who has finally achieved his goal of bringing this unique and epic science fiction saga to life on the big screen.

                                                                                 

"Underworld:Blood Wars" is scheduled to open in theaters on January 6, 2017. Kate Beckinsale returns as Selene the Vampire death dealer, caught between the Lycan clans and the Vampire covens in their eternal war. Selene decides to put an end to the fighting by any means necessary even if means making the ultimate sacrifice. 

                                                                                  

"Supergirl" kicks off the 4-night crossover event that begins Monday, November 28 on The CW. Starting with Supergirl and ending on DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" the epic crossover will break the barrier between worlds and time and space itself as the heroes face an alien threat intent on universal domination.

Weekend Box Office - Marvel's "Doctor Strange" starring Benedict Cumberbatch as Marvel's Master of the Mystic Arts was number one was $84.9 million, DreamWorks  Animation’s "Trolls" featuring the voice talents of Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick was number two with $45.6 million, and "Hacksaw Ridge" a true war tale starring Andrew Garfield was number three with $14.7 million.

                                                                             

"Wonder Woman" opens in theaters June 2, 2017. The latest trailer recently released by Warner Bros. Director Patty Jenkins has promised a kick-ass action movie that honors and highlights the history and legacy of this iconic hero, and based on this latest trailer she intends to live up to that promise.  

                                                                         
                                                                     

"Arrival" opens this Friday. Amy Adams stars as a linguistic expert recruited to make contact with an aliens species whose arrival could herald the end of humanity. The movie also stars Jeremy Renner and Forest Whittaker. 

                                                                       

"Life" opens on Memorial Day. The movie is the story of the six member crew of the International Space Station who successfully discovers proof of life beyond Earth. However, the life that they discover turns out to be more intelligent and dangerous than they ever could have imagined.

                                                                       

"The Great Wall" opens in theaters February 17, 2017. The movie features Matt Damon as a warrior and thief who goes to The Great Wall in search a weapon and finds more than he bargained for. An elite group of warriors stationed there are fighting to keep a monstrous force from breaching the wall and overrunning them.

A Madea Halloween" starring Tyler Perry as a the famous franchise character Madea was number one with $17.2 million, "Inferno" starring Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon from the novel of the same name by author Dan Brown was number with $14.8 million, and "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back" starring Tom Cruise as the title character was number three with $9.6 million.

Marvel's "Doctor Strange" opens this Friday. Magic highlights this latest entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
