Weekend Box Office: Marvel's Studios "Avengers: Endgame" the highly anticipated movie is now the blockbuster event of the summer at number one with $350 million, Marvel Studios "Captain Marvel" the newest superstar of the MCU jumped back into the number two position with $8.1 million, and "The Curse of La Llorona" the suspense thriller based on a terrifying Mexican legend was number three with $7.5 million.

"Godzilla: King of the Monsters" is scheduled to open in theaters on May 31. When an ancient species once thought to be mere myths re-emerge they begin a battle for supremacy that threatens mankind. "Men in Black International" is scheduled to open in theaters on June 14. "The Men in Black" face their toughest challenge when it's discovered there is a mole in the organization. "The Secret Life of Pets 2" is scheduled to open in theaters on June 7. From Illumination, the same animation studio that gave us the "Despicable Me" series brings us this family-friendly animated movie. Weekend Box Office: "The Curse of La Llorona" the supernatural thriller based on a terrifying Mexican legend was number one with $26.5 million,  "SHAZAM!" the family-friendly DC superhero movie starring Zachary Levi in the title role was number two with $17 million, and  "Breakthrough" the faith-based film about a parent's unshakeable love for their child and belief in miracles debuted at number three with $11 million,

                                                                                 

Marvel Studios "Avengers: Endgame" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. The highly-anticipated sequel to Marvel Studios "Avengers: Infinity War" will finally arrive in theaters after a year-long wait. This is the movie that will be the swan song for this chapter and usher in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and all that remains is to see how that plays out for these heroes that we have come to know and love. "Dark Phoenix" is scheduled to open in theaters on June 7. Written and directed by Simon Kinberg based on the iconic "Dark Phoenix" storyline by writer Chris Claremont and artists John Byrne and Terry Austin from the classic Marvel Comics series. The X-Men come face to face with the toughest enemy they have ever faced in the form of a member of their own team. When a rescue in space goes wrong, Jean Grey merges with a powerful entity and transforms into the dangerous and powerful Dark Phoenix.

                                                                                   

"Hobbs and Shaw" is scheduled to open in theaters on August 2. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprise their contentious characters in this spinoff movie in the "Fast and Furious" franchise. Forced to work together, Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw have to take down a cyber-genetically enhanced anarchist named Brixton, played by Idris Elba, who has control of a bio-threat that could alter human life as we know it.

Weekend Box Office: "SHAZAM" the family-friendly superhero movie starring Zachary Levi in the title role was number one with $25.1 million; "Little" the comedy movie where a high-powered mean-spirited executive is magically transformed back to a 13-year-old  version of herself was number two with $15.5 million; and "Hellboy" inspired by the graphic novel character created by writer and artist Mike Mignola was number three with $12 million.

                                                                                 

Disney's "Lion King" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 19. Director Jon Favreau reimagines one of the most cherished Disney animated movies by using groundbreaking techniques in filmmaking to bring beloved characters to life. Featuring an all-star cast that includes Donald Glover as Simba, BeyoncĂ© Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.


Marvel Studios "Avengers: Endgame" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 26. In 10 days the grand finale of the current chapter of Marvel Cinematic Universe will finally arrive in theaters. After a year-long wait, this movie which is a culmination of 10 years of movies from Marvel Studios. The team will come together in "Avengers: Endgame" and this movie sequel will be the setpiece to usher the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

                                                                                 

"The Addams Family" is scheduled to open in theaters this Halloween. Funny, outlandish, and completely iconic, the first family of the weird and macabre return to the silver screen. In their first CG animated feature, the kookiest family you will ever experience will put their delightful peculiarity on display in this animated comedy.

Weekend Box Office: "SHAZAM" the family-friendly DC superhero action film starring Zachary Levi was number one with $53.4 million, "Pet Sematary" the horror film based on the book by Stephen King was number two with  $25 million, and Disney's "Dumbo" the live-action reimaging of the animated Disney classic was number three with $18.2 million.

                                                                                

"Hellboy" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. David Harbour steps into the role of Hellboy. Based on the graphic novels by writer and artist Mike Mignola, Hellboy fights supernatural menaces that threaten mankind.   "Joker" is scheduled to open in theaters on October 4. From director Todd Phillips and starring Joaquin Phoenix as Arthur Fleck a man who keeps getting kicked around by society as he tries to make his way in life. How long can anyone handle being constantly stepped on before they snap? What will it take to push Arthur over the edge? What he becomes when that finally happens will become the stuff of legends.

Weekend Box Office: Disney's "Dumbo" director Tim Burton's live-action adaption of the Disney animated classic was number one with $45 million; "Us" the bone-chilling horror movie from writer-director Jordan Peele was number two with $33.6 million, and Marvel Studios "Captain Marvel" starring Brie Larson as the cosmic-powered addition to Marvel Cinematic Universe was number three with $20 million.

                                                                               

"SHAZAM!" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Starring Asher Angel as Billy Batson and Zachary Levi as his adult alter ego SHAZAM. Orphaned foster kid Billy Batson has an unexpected encounter with the Wizard Shazam that transforms the 14-year-old into an adult with superhuman powers. What starts out as fun and games become serious business when an actual supervillain with similar powers and abilities as he does shows up. "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2" premieres Friday, April 5 exclusively on Netflix with all episodes available for streaming. Kiernan Shipka returns as the half-mortal teenage witch Sabrina Spellman who struggles to find a balance between her place in the world of mortals and her darker side now that she has signed the Book of the Beast. Marvel's "Cloak & Dagger" begins Season Two with a two-hour premiere on Freeform Thursday, April 4 and available the following day on Hulu. Tyrone and Tandy parted company after having successfully saved New Orleans from a catastrophe brought on from the by the Roxxon's attempt to tap a mysterious energy source. The same energy source which their powers were derived from after a similar attempt caused an explosion on an oil platform off the coast of New Orleans. Linked by fate, reunited by destiny the two don't remain apart for long, especially with new dangers to face and a new evil rising to threaten the city once again.
