Weekend Box Office. "Us" the spine-tingling horror film from writer/producer/director Jordan Peele was number one with $70 million; Marvel Studios "Captain Marvel" starring Brie Larson as the cosmic-powered superhero making her dramatic debut into the MCU was number two with $35 million; and  "Wonder Park" the family-friendly animated amusement park adventure was number three with $9 million.

                                                                                  

Disney's "Dumbo" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Director Tim Burton adapts the Disney animated classic into a live-action movie where differences are celebrated, family is cherished, and dreams take flight. "John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum" is scheduled to open in theaters on May 17. Keanu Reeves returns as the former hitman brought out of retirement after a senseless act of violence. Following the climactic events of "John Wick: Chapter 2" he is on the run and being hunted by every hitman intent on claiming the bounty out on him and hoping to make their reputation by taking down the infamous "Boogeyman". 

                                                                                      

"Stranger Things 3" is scheduled to debut Friday, July 4 on Netflix with all episodes available for streaming. We return to Hawkins at the end of summer just as the group of friends who headed off the near invasion from the Upside Down prepares for their next adventure, middle school. Weekend Box Office -  Marvel Studios "Captain Marvel" starring Brie Larson in the title role is the newest addition to the MCU was number one with $69.3 million; "Wonder Park" the family-friendly animated about a fantasy amusement park was number two with $16 million, and "Five Feet Apart" the teen romance starring Haley Lu Richardson and Cole Sprouse  was number three with $13 million.

                                                                               

Marvel Studios "Avengers: Endgame" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 26. The highly anticipated follow-up to the action-packed, gut-wrenching hit movie "Avengers: Infinity War" is slightly over a month away. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, has stated this epic that will usher in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has also indicated that only the first 15 to 20 minutes of the movie has shown up in the trailers. "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" is scheduled to open in theaters on May 31. When a battery of god-sized monsters emerge and begin battling each other for supremacy the crypto-zoological organization Monarch must find a way to bring control to the chaos by teaming with Godzilla as he battles Mothra, Rodan, and the ultimate threat of the three-headed Ghidorah. "Batman vs. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is scheduled to be available for download Digital HD starting May 14 and available on Bluray/DVD on June 4. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Nickelodeon, and DC this all-new feature-length animated movie features the unlikely team-up between the Dark Knight and the Heroes in a Half-shell. When The Shredder comes to Gotham City to join forces with Ra's al Ghul in a scheme to bring about Gotham's destruction Batman and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles unite to put a stop to their plans and save the city.

"SHAZAM" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 5. A fateful encounter with the wizard Shazam changes the life orphaned foster kid Billy Batson beyond his imagination. With the utterance of a single word, the ordinary 15-year-old boy is magically transformed into a superpowered adult. Weekend Box Office: "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World" the final film in the franchise featuring Hiccup the Viking and Toothless his Night Fury dragon was number one with $30 million, Tyler Perry's "A Madea Family Funeral" the farewell movie in the Madea film franchise was number two with $27 million, and "Alita: Battle Angel" the sci-fi anime based action movie from producer James Cameron and director Robert Rodriguez was number three with $7 million.
