This will be a very faithful adaptation of that groundbreaking story since this is the first DC Animated feature to earn an R rating, especially when you consider that "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" and "Justice League: Gods and Monsters" pulled no punches and were both PG-13. I would strongly advise that if you haven't already read the graphic novel that you sit down and read it. You owe it to yourself to prepare for what will be a very dark and disturbing animated movie experience.
