Weekend Box Office - "Transformers: The Last Knight" director Michael Bay's latest installment in the blockbuster franchise was number one with $45.3 million, "Wonder Woman" from director Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot as the Amazing Amazon Princess was number two with $25.2 million, and Disney/Pixar's "Cars 3" the latest movie in the animated franchise featuring the voices of Owen Wilson, Larry The Cable Guy, and Bonnie Hunt was number three with $24 million.

"The Dark Tower" is scheduled to open in the theaters on August 4. The movie is based on the bestselling series by Stephen King.The upcoming fantasy western horror starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey is planned as the first in a series of movies based on the books.

                                                                                 
                                                                                  

"The Foreigner" is scheduled to open in theaters on October 13. Directed by Martin Campbell who directed the first Daniel Craig James Bond movie "Casino Royale", The movie is a departure from the usual Jackie Chan film, an action packed thriller in which Chan plays a father out for revenge after his daughter is killed in a terrorist bombing. The movie also stars former James Bond Pierce Brosnan.

                                                                                 

"Batman and Harley Quinn" the latest animated movie from Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment arrives August 15 on Digital HD and August 29 on Blu-ray/DVD. Featuring Kevin Conroy as Batman and Loren Lester as Nightwing from "Batman: The Animated Series" and was inspired by an original story from Bruce Timm the producer of that series. Also introducing Melissa Rauch of "The Big Bang Theory" voicing Harley Quinn. This animated story takes place in the "Batman: The Animated Series" universe and teams the Dynamic Duo with Harley Quinn in order to save Gotham from Poison Ivy and The Floronic Man.

Weekend Box Office: Disney/Pixar's "Cars 3" featuring the voice talents of Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, and Bonnie Hunt was number one with $53.5 million, "Wonder Woman" the origin story of the iconic DC Amazon Princess starring Gal Gadot was number two with $40.7 million, "All Eyez On Me" the biopic about the life and times of the late rapper/actor Tupac Shakur was number three with $27 million.  


                                                                              

"Transformers: The Last Knight" is scheduled to open in theaters on June 21. Director Michael Bay brings us the latest installment in the "Transformers" franchise and his last one as director. As war between Humans and Transformers rages out of control. The fate of mankind rests on the discovery from the secret history of the Transformers on Earth. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Laura Haddock and Sir Anthony Hopkins.

                                                                                 
                                                                                     

"Flatliners" is scheduled to open in theaters on Sept.29. A remake of the 1990 movie of the same name, this version follows five medical students that become obsessed with answering the question of what happens when we die. They begin an experiment that stops their hearts for a short period of time to trigger a near death experience. The experiment gets out of hand triggering a terrifying paranormal effect caused by their crossing over to the other side.  

                                                                                 

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 7. Tom Holland stars as Peter Parker/Spider-Man fresh from his debut in "Captain America: Civil War" into his own movie. After the experience of a lifetime teaming up with The Avengers Peter struggles with returning to his day to day routine of balancing his life as a high school student with that his web spinning alter ego.

                                                                          

"Despicable Me 3" from Illumination is scheduled for theaters on June 30. Steve Carell returns as the voice of Gru and as his newly discovered twin brother Dru.  Also featuring the voices of Kristen Wiig as  Lucy and Trey Parker as Balthazar Bratt. Weekend Box Office: "Wonder Woman from director Patty Jenkins and starring Gal Gadot as Diana, Princess of the Amazons aka Wonder Woman was number one with $57.2 million, "The Mummy" starring Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella was number two with $32.2 million, and "Captain Underpants: The Epic First Movie" featuring the voice talents of Kevin Hart and Ed Helms was number three with $12.3 million.

                                                                               

Marvel's "Black Panther" is scheduled to open in theaters February of next year. The first teaser dropped last week to much excitement. Fresh from his debut in "Captain America: Civil War" Chadwick Boseman stars as T'Challa, King of Wakanda aka The Black Panther.  

                                                                                
                                                                                  

"War for the Planet of the Apes" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 14. The third chapter in the critically praised franchise will feature the deciding conflict between apes and human for the future of both species. The movie stars Andy Serkis, Woody Harrelson, Steve Zahn, Amiah Miller, Karin Konoval, Judy Greer and Terry Notary.

                                                                                    

Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open in theaters this November. The movie will feature an attack on Asgard from Hela (played by Cate Blanchett). Thor ends up trapped on a distant planet where he is forced to fight against his one-time ally, The Incredible Hulk. 

                                                                            

Marvel's "The Defenders" will debut on Netflix August 18 with all episodes streaming. The Netflix original series will bring together Matt Murdoch/Daredevil(Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage ( Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones) to face a common threat and save the city they have individually vowed to protect. As individuals they are each a powerful force for good, but as a team their combined talents may be what's needed to save their beloved city.

Weekend Box Office - "Wonder Woman" the first big budget film featuring the DC Comics heroine was number one with $103.3 million, DreamWorks Animation "Captain Underpants: The Epic First Movie" featuring the voices of Kevin Hart and Ed Helms was number two with $23.9 million, and Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" starring Johnny Depp and Javier Bardem was number three with $22.1 million.

"The Mummy" scheduled to open this Friday. Tom Cruise stars in the film that begins Universal Pictures' "Dark Universe" of Gods and Monsters. The movie features Sofia Boutella as Princess Ahmanet/ The Mummy and also stars Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B.
