Weekend Box Office - "Fifty Shades of Gray" starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson was number one for the second week in a row with $23.2 million, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" starring Colin Firth, Michael Caine, and Samuel L. Jackson held on to the number two spot with 17.5 million, and "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" starring characters from the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series retained the number three spot with $15.5 million.

"Furious 7" is the last of the series to feature the late Paul Walker. The movie aims to ramp up the action and thrills of the previous movies.  Be prepared for an over the top adrenaline fueled turbo charged ride. 

                                                                                
                                                                                   

"Jurassic World" is the latest incarnation of the Jurassic Park movies. This time around the park is open and thriving. Of course, it wouldn't be a Jurassic Park movie if there wasn't some kind of peril. The peril comes in the form of a totally new dinosaur genetically engineered by a scientist. 

                                                                            

"Poltergeist" a re-imagining of the classic movie from the eighties. Brought to us from the creators of "The Grudge" and "The Evil Dead" this is not your daddy's "Poltergeist". Brace yourself, this version will give you some real chills.  

                                                                              

"Arrow" continues to build towards what promises to be another exciting season finale. The latest episode "Nanda Parbat" will bring us an action packed assault on the Ra's al Ghul's headquarters that promises to have a shocking climactic ending.

Weekend Box Office - "Fifty Shades of Grey" based on the internationally bestselling book of the same name was number one with $81.6 million, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" based on the graphic novel by writer Mark Millar and artist Dave Gibbons took second place with $35.6 million, and "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" featuring characters from the hit Nickelodeon cartoon came in at number three with $30.5 million.

                                                                               

Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns after that mind-blowing mid-season finale and we can look forward to finding out what abilities Skye has acquired after her exposure to what may have been the terrigan mist that gives all of The Inhumans their special abilities. "Crimson Peak" will debut in theaters in October and we can finally get a peak at this much talked about movie from director Guillermo Del Toro. The movie which stars Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam, and Mia Wasikowska already promises to deliver the goods to fans of Del Toro's work and maybe even capture some new fans.

                                                                              

"The Flash" debuts an all new episode tonight appropriately entitled "The Fallout". Picking up where last week's episode "The Nuclear Man" left off we see what became of the metahuman Firestorm. We also delve further into the mystery of murder of Barry's mother and the two speedster's present that night. 

                                                                                   

"Arrow" debuts an all new episode entitled "The Return"which airs tomorrow night. The episode teases the return of last season's villain Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke. This is also the return of Oliver to the island he was marooned on and that was his training ground for his eventual return to Starling City.

Weekend Box Office - "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" opened with $56 million to placing it firmly at number one, "American Sniper" true life story of US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle held on at number two with $24.1 million, and "Jupiter Ascending" the action/adventure space epic opened at number three with $19 million.

                                                                              

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" draws ever nearer. Of course, I realize that the movie opens in May and it's only February. At least we have another trailer to enjoy and give us even more to look forward to.

                                                                                 
                                                                                 

Marvel's "Daredevil" is the first of five new series that are being produced for Netflix by Marvel Studios. The trailer debuted last Wednesday to tremendous excitement and delight of most comic fans. It gives a taste of what is soon to come. 

                                                                               

"Batman vs. Robin" is the next DC Universe animated movie we get to look forward to. This movie is a direct sequel to "Son of Batman" and incorporates "The Court of Owls" story line from the comics which revealed a darker side of Gotham that Batman didn't even suspect existed.  

                                                                                    

"LEGO: DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League vs. Bizarro League" arrives in stores today on DVD/Blu-ray. These movies are really exciting and fun.We get to see the DC Super Heroes animated in LEGO form. "American Sniper" the true story of U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle was number one for the third week in a row with $31.9 million, the family friendly live action "Paddington" came in at number two with $8.51 million, and time-travel teenage drama "Project Almanac" debuted at number three with $8.50 million

                                                                              

"Jupiter Ascending" is the latest sci-fi epic from the creators of "The Matrix Trilogy". Mila Kunis stars as the titular Jupiter a young woman who suddenly discovers that her destiny is to rule the universe. The movie also stars Channing Tatum and Sean Bean as alien warriors sent to protect her.

                                                                              


"Seventh Son" the fantasy adventure starring Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, and Ben Barnes finally arrives in theaters this Friday. Promised long ago, this movie sees Jeff Bridges as the last of an order of knights pledged to battle evil. Ben Barnes plays his apprentice and Julianne Moore an evil and powerful witch they must defeat before she ends all mankind. 

                                                                              

"Kingsman:The Secret Service" the latest movie from director Matthew Vaughn ("Kick-Ass", "X-Men:The First Class") is based on the graphic novel "The Secret Service" by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. Originally due in theaters this past October it is set to be released February 13. The movie stars Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, and Michael Caine.

                                                                                 

"Arrow" CW Network's hit show returned from its mid-season break with a vengeance. The show continually manages to take it up a notch and deliver a whole lot of shock and awe episode after episode; and continues to do so with Wednesday's episode entitled "Uprising".
