Weekend Box Office - "Monster's University" was number one it its opening weekend with $82 million, Brad Pitt's zombie action flick "World War Z" was number two with $66 million, "Man of Steel" rounded out the top three with $13 million.
 
 
                                                             
 
 
 
"Pacific Rim" is a sci-fi action movie that features the creation of giant human driven robots as humanity's last hope against emerging behemoths opens in theatres on July 12. While the concept is not a new one in the hands of director Guillermo del Toro it will doubtless seem fresh, as well as entertaining. The cast features Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Ron Perlman, and Charlie Day.
 
 
                                     
                             
                                                                                   
 
 
 
                                                                              
 
 
 
 "Red 2"  featuring Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren opens in theatres July 19 and promises to be even more fun and action packed as number one. Check out the trailer.
 
 
                                                                         
 
 If you saw "Man of Steel" in the theatres you saw the trailer for the sequel of  Zack Snyder's "300". The movie "300: Rise of an Empire" follows the original and depicts the continuing rise of Xerxes empire and his conflict against the Spartans seeking revenge for their fallen comrades.

"The Lone Ranger" opens July 3, 2013 and gives us a new take on the iconic hero of the Wild West and his faithful Indian companion and friend. Weekend Box Office - "The Purge" was number one bringing in $36.4 million, "Fast & Furious 6" was number two with $19.8 million, "Now You See Me" rounded out the top three $19.5 million.
 
 
                                                               
 
There are a few movies opening this coming weekend, but  the most anticipated of them all is "Man of Steel" from director Zack Snyder ("300", "Watchmen") and producer Christopher Nolan (Director of "The Dark Knight trilogy).  Opening this week is the "end of the world" comedy that features James Franco, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel, Craig Robinson, Danny McBride, Michael Cera, and Emma Watson playing distorted versions of themselves trying to survive when the apocalypse occurs while they are all at a party together.

The zombie romcom starring Nicholas Hoult, Teresa Palmer, Rob Coddry, and John Malkovich arrives in stores today. Those are three words that seem surreal together zombie romantic comedy, but from all reports this movie somehow pulled it off.
