Weekend Box Office: "Dunkirk" the World War II movie from director Christopher Nolan was number one with $50.5 million, "Girls Trip" the R-rated comedy starring Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Queen Latifah was number two with $30.4 million, and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man in the latest incarnation of the web-slinger was number three with $22 million. 

                                                                       

Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 3. The movie will feature Thor teaming up with his fellow Avenger.The Hulk in an adventure to reclaim Asgard from the Goddess of Death, Hela. The events of the movie are a prelude to the upcoming movie Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" and this movie will be a game changer by beginning a possible reshaping of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

                                                                          
                                                                       

"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" is scheduled to open in theaters . Director Matthew Vaughn's sequel to his highly successful "Kingsman: The Secret Service", a movie that was based on a graphic novel by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons "The Secret Service". The new movie introduces us to The Statesman, American counterparts to The Kingsman. Watch this trailer and prepare to have your mind blown. 

                                                                           

"Stranger Things" will return to Netflix with all episodes of the second season steaming beginning October 27. The show blends nostalgia with horror to create a nerve wracking thrill ride through the cultural landscape of the 1980s. Marvel's "The Inhumans" will premiere exclusively in IMAX on Sept.1 and continuing Sept. 29 on the ABC television network. Bringing to both the big screen and the small screen these extraordinary characters created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Starring Anson Mount as Black Bolt and Serinda Swan as Medusa. Weekend Box Office - "War for the Planet of the Apes" the third movie in the "Planet of Apes" franchise was number one with $56.5 million, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man was number two with $45.2 million, and "Despicable Me 3" featuring the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, and Trey Parker was number three with $19 million.

                                                                              

"Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Director Luc Besson brings the groundbreaking French comic series "Valerian and Laureline" to the silver screen. The comic series has been an inspired artists and filmmakers for generations and has been collected as a series of graphic novels translated into many different languages. "Blade Runner 2049"  is scheduled to open in theaters on October 6. Ryan Gosling stars in this movie that takes place 30 years after the events of the original. Ridley Scott the director of the original serves as executive producer and Denis Villenueve directs this movie that also stars Harrison Ford, Ana De Armas, MacKenzie Davis, Sylvia Hoeks, Lennie James, Carla Juri, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto.           

                                                                             

Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open in theaters this November. The movie which will also feature Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk will be the lead in to the upcoming movie Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War". "Thor: Ragnarok" will feature Cate Blanchett as Hela, The Asgardian Goddess of Death and the primary villain of the movie. Weekend Box Office: "Spider-Man: Homecoming" starring Tom Holland as Spider-Man and Michael Keaton as The Vulture was number one with $117 million, "Despicable Me 3' featuring the voices of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, and Trey Parker was number three with $34 million, and "Baby Driver" the action/thriller from director Edgar Wright was number three with $12.8 million.

"War for the Planet of the Apes" opens in theaters this Friday. The third movie in the "Planet of the Apes" franchise features a showdown between apes and humans to decide the fate of both species and the future of the planet. 

                                                                            
                                                                          

"Valerian" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 21. The passion project of director Luc Besson, the movie is based on the french comic book series "Valerian and Laureline" that the director read as a kid. The comic book's creator inspired Besson to make this movie when they worked together on a previous film he directed "The Fifth Element".

                                                                    

"Atomic Blonde" is scheduled to open in theaters on July 28. Oscar winning actress Charlize Theron stars in this movie directed by David Leitch, the director of "John Wick" and the upcoming film "Deadpool 2". Theron plays MI6 agent Lorraine Broughton tasked with retrieving a dossier from Berlin a city filled with spies and double-crossing traitors.

                                                                      

"The Dark Tower" is scheduled to open in theaters on Aug 4. Based on the book series by Stephen King and starring Idris Elba as Roland Deschain - The Gunslinger and Matthew McConaughey as Walter O'Dim - The Man in Black locked in a battle between good and evil. The Gunslinger is determined to protect The Dark Tower, which holds the universe together, from The Dark Man who threatens to destroy it.

Weekend Box Office: "Despicable Me 3" the latest movie in the animated franchise from Illumination with the voice talents of Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, and Trey Parker was number one with $72.4 million, "Baby Driver" from director Edgar Wright ("Shaun of the Dead", "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World") was number two with $ 29.5 million, and "Transformers: The Last Knight" the latest installment in the Transformers  franchise was number three with $16.8 million.

"Spider-Man: Homecoming" opens in theaters this Friday. Tom Holland stars as Peter  Parker/ Spider-Man in his very own movie fresh from his appearance in "Captain America: Civil War". Marvel's "Inhumans" the new television series scheduled to debut on ABC beginning September 29 following the release of the pilot episode in IMAX theaters on September 1. The series follows the characters created by Stan Lee and Jack KIrby  "The Inhumans" who have seperated themselves from humanity and from Earth residing on the Moon in the Blue Area, a special area designed to support life. However, an uprising inspired by a movement to return to Earth threatens the safety and security of Humans and Inhumans  alike.
