"X-MEN: APOCALYPSE" will open in theaters this coming summer. 20th Century Fox released the first trailer last week to the relief of a great many X-Men fans. The trailer is a veritable feast for the eyes with a laundry list of mutants both new and old. The movie takes place after the events of "X-MEN: Days of Future Past" and we get more of what we love the most. Plenty of mutants and plenty of action. Not to mention, one of the most unforgettable of all X-Men villains, Apocalypse.

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" promises to bring more fun to the franchise. The fans have spoken and the studio listened, at least we hope they did.  The trailer reveals an action lacked high octane movie with more humor and more than a few surprises. Long time "Turtles" favorite characters like Casey Jones, Baxter Stockman, Bebop and Rock Steady, as well as, the return of The Shredder and Karai. There even a few Easter eggs especially designed to tease and tantalize the die hard fans.

"The Legend of Tarzan" will help to fill out an already buffed out Summer 2016 box office season. To be honest this movie was not at all on my radar, but after seeing the trailer I'm quite intrigued. The trailer reveals Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson in supporting roles, and a glimpse of Djimon Hounsou. We also get to see Margot Robbie as Jane Porter and Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan.

"Independence Day Resurgence" has finally graced us with a first look trailer. We get to see some familiar and unfamiliar faces, as well as a hint of the world after the previous invasion almost twenty years ago. Of course, we also see the appearance of an alien ship of immense size signaling a brand new invasion. Ready or not here they come.

"Star Trek Beyond" will hit theaters in July 2016. Directed by Justin Lin ("The Fast and The Furious") this time around since J.J. Abrams was occupied with the other space opera movie franchise. The first look trailer gives you a serious clue of the peril faced by the crew of The Starship Enterprise this time around. We also get a look at their latest foes, known only as "The Swarm".

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" debuted a new trailer last week on "Jimmy Kimmel Live". The trailer is filled to the brim with Easter eggs and spoilers galore. Many feel that the trailer is far too revealing. If you choose to watch it brace yourself, it is quite intense. You may just forget to blink.

"The Flash" delivers its finale for the mid season with a carefully coordinated attack by three deadly villains. The Weather Wizard, The Trickster, and Captain Cold combine forces to stop The Fastest Man Alive, their common enemy.

"Arrow" wraps it up for the mid season with Oliver in more danger than usual when he, and not his alter ego, gets caught in the cross hairs of the villain Damien Darhk. Considering last year's gut wrenching mid season finale it almost makes you wonder how this show will try to outdo themselves. It's nerve wracking just thinking about what could possibly happen.

DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" is the upcoming spin-off series from the producers of the hit CW television series "The Flash" and "Arrow". The series takes characters form both shows and throws them into a series of time travel adventures. Their primary mission to rewrite the future of mankind by preventing the immortal villain Vandal Savage from ever becoming a world conquering dictator.

Marvel's "Captain America: Civil War" unveiled the first trailer last week. The trailer hit the internet right after its debut on "Jimmy Kimmel Live". What a impression it has made on the fandom! "The Flash"/"Arrow".Tonight begins the crossover event of the new season for these two very popular superhero shows on the CW Network from DC Entertainment. This crossover will open the door for the upcoming series DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" with the introduction of Hawkman and Hawkgirl. In addition, we meet the villain of that series, the immortal Vandal Savage.

"Supergirl" airing on CBS has been an unexpected surprise. The show had been dismissed by a great many as campy when compared to the other DC superhero shows on other networks, based solely on the initial trailer. However, despite its lighter tone the show has proved itself just as serious, edgy, and a promisingly great addition to our superhero viewing entertainment. Melissa Benoist has really stepped convincingly into the role of  Kara Zor-El a.k.a Supergirl with a great supporting cast.

"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" seems as if it doesn't want to be outdone. There is a new teaser that I have included here and Jimmy Kimmel will score another coup by debuting a new trailer on his show Wednesday night, which will probably occur during an interview with the stars of the movie. Just as it did for the other movie trailer he recently debuted with great fan appreciation.
