Weekend Box Office - Two new movies pushed past "The Hunger Games" to take the number one and two spots at the box office. "Think Like a Man" was number one with $33 million, "The Lucky One" came in second with $22 million, and that put "The Hunger Games" at number three with $14.5 million after four weeks at number one.
"Dark Shadows" the 1960's gothic soap opera that became a cult classic has been remade starring Johnny Depp as the iconic Barnabas Collins and directed by Tim Burton. There is a certain kind of film magic that happens when those two get together. The actor who originated the role Jonathan Frid makes a cameo in the movie. Ironically, Jonathan Frid passed away on Friday, April 13. He will always be remember for playing one of the most iconic vampire characters, right up there with the most legendary screen vampire, Dracula.
Warner Bros. just announced that there willl be a new trailer for the "The Dark Knight Rises" which will be seen before showings of "The Avengers". The previous trailer is quite exciting and well worth another look.
