Weekend Box Office - "The Revenant" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy climbed its way into the number one spot with $16 million, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" climbed into the number two spot with $14.2 million, and "Ride Along 2" starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart held on at number three with $12.9 million.
"Suicide Squad" is easily one of the most anticipated movies of this year. The comic book series about a ragtag group of supervillains who have been coerced into working for the government. As part of a secret task force, they take part in covert missions in exchange for their freedom, with just one catch, the missions are so dangerous they're almost suicide. This movie is so bold an idea it's almost crazy enough to work and it already looks to be a bona fide hit. I can barely stop myself from re-watching this new trailer over and over again, and I can hardly wait until it hits theaters in August.

"Kung Fu Panda 3" opens in theaters this Friday. The long awaited follow up to "Kung Fu Panda 2" introduces us to Po's long-lost panda father and we get to see the secret panda village. It's not long before trouble rears its head in the form of the supernatural villain Kai. Who takes on the kung fu masters and then sets his sights on Po, as well as, the panda village.
"Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" is the latest of those unlikely books that became successful and have been made into movies. Jane Austen meets George Romero in what looks to be a witty and clever mash up of two movie genres. Definitely not the run of the mill period drama or zombie apocalypse film, but surprisingly the best of both worlds. Definitely not meant for purist, or the fainthearted.
