DC Comics has cancelled six titles of the New 52. Blackhawks, Hawk and Dove, Men of War, Mister Terrific, Static Shock, and O.M.A.C. will call it quits after eight issues.Replacing them are Batman Incorporated, Earth 2, World's Finest, Dial H, G.I. Combat, and The Ravagers. Let's hope these titles fare better than their counterparts.
In comic book news, Marvel Comics has unveiled the cover for Avengers vs. X-Men #1 by artist Jim Cheung.

The top selling comic book of 2011 was Justice League #1 according to Diamond Distributors. Of course, Justice League has always been the go to superteam with seven heavy hitters and in this revamped version it's Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Cyborg in a retro twist that evoked memories of the early 80's "Super Friends: Legendary Powers Show." Fortunately, that's where the comparison ends. Much like "Justice League" was a way cooler version of "Super Friends"; this comic book is the coolest incarnation of the team since Grant Morrison was writing the book. Unfortunately, this version is sans the most significant Justice League member since the team was introduced, J'onn J'onnz The Martian Manhunter.

Speaking of the Justice League, The DC animated movie "Justice League:Doom" which debuts on February 28, 2012. I would highly recommend checking out one of the previous DC animated movies "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths".
