Weekend Box Office - "The Dark Knight Rises" owned the number one spot raking in $64.1 million, "Ice Age: Continental Drift" $13.3 million, and the alien invasion comedy "The Watch" with Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill debuted at number three making $13 million.
Doctor Who star Matt Smith graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly. The new season of Doctor Who is coming soon from BBC America, no actual date given. The upcoming season sees the departure of companions Amy Pond (Karen Gilliam) and Rory Williams (Arthur Darville), and the introduction of new companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman).
The Fringe team returns for a final season premiering Friday, Sept.28 at 9/8c. The show has been a breath of fresh air especially on Fox. The show which has been one of the best pieces of sci-fi on television this side of "The X-Files". Rumor has it that the show's Executive Producer J.J. Abrams plans to direct an episode. Stars of the show Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson have revealed that the new season will pick up in the future that we saw in the season four episode "Letters of Transit". This show just gets better and better.
New trailer for next Bond movie Skyfall debuted shortly after the opening ceremony at the 2012 London Olympics. This trailer reveals more action than the previous teaser trailer and a good look at the new Bond villian played by Javier Bardem.
Last and hardly least is a trailer of a new movie featuring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry. I don't know how to describe this movie other than to say it truly looks promising. The movie is brought to us by Andy and Lana ( formerly Larry) Wachowski who gave us "The Matrix". If you haven't previously seen it here's a look at "Cloud Atlas".
