"Mr.Peabody & Sherman" is the latest offering from the folks at DreamWorks Animation who brought us "The Croods" and "How to Train Your Dragon". This an update of a cartoon that's a personal favorite of mine. I used to love watching "Peabody's Improbable History" which was a segment of the animated t.v. series "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show". The executive producer of the movie is Tiffany Ward, the daughter of one of the principle creators of the show, Jay Ward. I wonder if Mr.Peabody will still introduce himself the way he did on the show, " I'm Mr. Peabody and this is my boy Sherman". For some reason, that always cracked me up as a kid.

"300: Rise of an Empire" opens this coming Friday and as the sequel to the awe inspiring "300", epic falls short of accurately describing this movie. Although clearly quite a different movie from its predecessor, it looks as if they upped the ante with the level of action which is revealed in this trailer. I expect it will be easily as enjoyable as the first movie.
