Weekend Box Office - "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" was number one with $73 million, "Transformers: Age of Extinction" was number two with $16.5 million, and "Tammy" the comedy starring Melissa McCarthy came in third with $12.9 million.
"Exodus: Gods and Kings" is the upcoming movie from director Ridley Scott who gave us the movies "Alien", "Blade Runner", and "Gladiator" just to name a few. Now he brings his unique style of film making to the story of Moses. The movie features Christian Bale as Moses and Joel Edgerton as Ramses. Here's a first look at the recently released trailer.
"Lucy" the upcoming movie starring Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman opens next week. The movie's plot has drawn comparisons to the movie "Limitless" starring Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro. As if! The trailer alone reveals that the concept may be similar, but the two are in no way equals. Don't take my word for it. Check out the trailer and see for yourself.
Marvel's "The Guardians of the Galaxy" opens in two weeks and I am personally looking forward to seeing what Marvel Studios and director James Gunn have whipped up for us. I already know we are in for some serious surprises and I'm still excited and what they may throw at us.
