Weekend Box Office - "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" was number one with $123 million, "Big Hero 6" the family friendly animated Marvel/Disney movie was number two with $20.01 million, and "Interstellar" from director Christopher Nolan ( "Inception", "The Dark Knight" Trilogy) was number three with $15.1 million.

"Peanuts" the beloved comic strip and animated characters created by Charles Schulz get their first new big screen movie in over three decades. The new movie gives the popular characters an upgrade through the magic of CG animation. New animation, same great characters. Don't take my word for it. Observe for yourself via the recently released trailer.

"Jurassic World" the long awaited return to the "Jurassic Park" franchise starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard opens this coming summer on June 12. The highly anticipated first trailer has recently been released. Check it out.

"Cinderella" is getting a big screen live action update. Hot of the heels of the highly successful "Maleficent" we get a live action re-imagining of the classic Disney fairy tale. View the recently released trailer and see if you you find it as promising as I do.

"Peter Pan Live!" is the upcoming television event from the producers of "The Sound of Music Live!". Starring Christopher Walken as Captain Hook and Allison Williams in the title role, this program will air on next Thursday on NBC. They had me at Christopher Walken as Captain Hook! Enough said.
