"The New Mutants" is scheduled to open in theaters April 13. Based on the comic series that was a spin-off of "X-Men" and featuring students of the Xavier School that were learning to use their powers as a team on less threatening missions than those of The X-Men. However, the series began to explore darker territory than the main book and that seems to be the focus of the movie based on this trailer. The movie features Anna Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin/Magik, Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane, Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie/Cannonball, Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar/Mirage, Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa/Sunspot, and Alice Braga as Dr. Cecilia Reyes.
"Stranger Things 2" premieres October 27 on Netflix with all episodes of the new season available for streaming. The town of Hawkins will continue to be threatened as a result of the rift that was opened to the dimension called The Upside Down in the first season. The new season promises to deliver more thrills, chills, and throwback nostalgia. In short, more of everything that made the show the runaway success that it has become.
