Weekend Box Office - "Ready Player One" from director Steven Spielberg and based on the best-selling novel by Ernest Clines was number one with $53.2 million, Tyler Perry's "Acrimony" the thriller starring Taraji P. Henson was number two with $17 million, and Marvel's "Black Panther" the record-breaking superhero film starring Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/The Black Panther was number three with $11.3 million.

                                                                              

"A Quiet  Place" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. The movie which stars Emily Blunt and John Krasinski as a couple trying to survive creatures that will hunt you down by the slightest sound. Learning to communicate by sign language and moving without making a sound each and every day is a struggle to survive to see another day.

                                                                              
                                                                         

"Rampage" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 13. Duane Johnson stars as a primatologist named Davis Okoye who finds friend George, a highly intelligent silverback gorilla he has raised from birth, altered by a rogue genetic experiment that has gone awry. Mutating from a gentle ape to a raging creature of enormous size and stature. Discovering that other creatures have been affected like George he seeks the help of a discredited genetic engineer to find an antidote to save his friend and end the creatures' rampage.

                                                                         

Marvel's "Avengers Infinity War" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 27. The beginning of the end of this phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings together the combined heroes against a common foe whose main goal is the destruction of the entire universe. Thanos begins his collection of the powerful Infinity Stones and if he collects them all he will use them to achieve his goal...widespread death throughout the universe.

                                                                        

"The Darkest Minds" is scheduled to open in theaters on August 3. When teenagers begin developing powerful new abilities, they are declared a threat and detained. One such teen, sixteen-year-old Ruby, one of the most powerful ever discovered escapes and joins a group of runaways seeking safe haven. Realizing that in a world where the adults in power have failed them the only option left to them using their combined powers to wage a resistance for control of their future.
