Weekend Box Office - "Oz the Great and Powerful" was the number one movie in the country with $42.2 million, "The Call" starring Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin was number two with $17.1 million, and "The Incredible Burt Wonderstone" was number three with $10.3 million.
"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" made over a billion dollars at the box office and is now the 15th biggest movie of all time. The movie releases today on DVD/ Bluray with tons of extras and special features.
"Zero Dark Thirty", a candidate for a Best Movie Oscar also releases on DVD/ Bluray today. The movie is lauded for being a whole lot more than anyone expected. Especially, when you consider we all know the ending to the story.
There is another movie that features magic, a really impressive cast, and is not a comedy. The movie "Now You See Me" has a cast which features Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo and also includes Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. Nuff said.
The trailer for the animated movie "Epic" looks so awesome that I'll let it speak for itself. The movie which is brought to us from the creators of "Ice Age" and "Rio" opens on May 24.
