When police officer Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) is killed in the line of duty he suddenly finds himself an afterlife assignment to the R.I.P.D. - Rest In Peace Department. He is partnered with R.I.P.D veteran sheriff Roy Pulsifer (Jeff Bridges).
