Weekend Box Office - "Star Trek: Beyond" the latest installment of the film franchise from producer J.J. Abrams and director Justin Lin was number one with $59.2 million, "The Secret Life of Pets" the family friendly CG animated movie from the makers of the "Despicable Me" movies was number two with $29.6 million, and "Lights Out" the latest supernatural horror from producer James Wan debuted at number three with $21.6 million. 

                                                                               

"Wonder Woman" will open in theaters on June 2, 2017. The trailer which was finally unveiled at San Diego Comic Con was met with rousing fan approval. Director Patty Jenkins has promised a faithful, kick-ass movie that pays respect to the 75 year history of this beloved character and the trailer definitely to embodies that promise. 

                                                                            
                                                                       

"Justice League" will open in theaters November 2017. The long awaited movie bringing together the heavy hitters from the DC Comics debuted the first trailer at SDCC and fans were obviously delighted by what they saw. A departure form the darker and more serious "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" the "Justice League" looks lighter in tone and mood, yet still promises to be seriously bad-ass as befits these beloved characters.

                                                                          

"Suicide Squad" opens in theaters on Aug 5. In just under two weeks the long awaited movie that features some of the DC Comics supervillains as a reluctant team of covert government operatives debuts nationwide. The latest trailer debuted at SDCC in anticipation of the film's opening day featuring more scenes from the upcoming movie. 

                                                                            

Marvel's "Doctor Strange" opens in theaters on November 4. The upcoming movie featuring Marvel's Master of the Mystic Arts was unveiled at SDCC. The movie features more scenes of Stephen Strange's training in the mystic arts and the mysterious villain of the movie who threatens the destruction of the entire world.

                                                                         

Marvel's "Luke Cage" the new trailer for the Marvel and Netflix original series debuted at SDCC. The character previously seen in the Netflix series Marvel's "Jessica Jones" will take center stage in his own series.The trailer shows reluctant hero Luke Cage using his powers and finally embracing his true calling.
