Weekend Box Office - "Magnificent Seven" the action/adventure western starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt was number one with $35 million, "Storks" the family friendly CG animated movie from Warner Bros.Animation was number two with $21.3 million, and "Sully" the based on a true story movie starring Tom Hanks as the title character was number three with $13.8 million.

                                                                               

Marvel's "Luke Cage" will premiere on Netflix with all episodes streaming beginning this Friday. The long-awaited series spinning off of the character's appearance on Marvel's "Jessica Jones", also on the streaming channel. For those following the Marvel series on Netflix look forward to seeing a familiar face or two, not to mention a bunch of Easter Eggs. Since these characters exist in the same shared universe and in some cases the same city and you can expect their lives and stories to overlap. 

                                                                              
                                                                                  

"Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" opens in theaters this Friday. Director Tim Burton brings to life the bestselling novel by author Ransom Riggs. The movie stars Eva Green as the titular Miss Peregrine, also starring Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Rupert Everett,with Judi Dench and Samuel L. "The Flash" begins a new season next Tuesday, Oct.4 on the CW. The season begins with Barry experiencing the aftermath of his tampering with the timestream. Everything thing has changed and Barry will face his biggest challenge yet, the one change he may not want to happen, forgetting that he was ever The Flash. 

                                                                                    

"Arrow" begins a new season next Wednesday, Oct.5 on the CW. Oliver settles into his role as the mayor of Star City while balancing his crime fighting as The Green Arrow. However, with most of Team Arrow having gone their separate ways, he realizes he needs a team to support him, now more than ever. He decides to build a new team recruiting vigilantes who he himself inspired.
