Weekend Box Office: "Get Out" the horror/comedy/social commentary written and directed by Jordan Peele was number one with 30.5 million, "The LEGO Batman Movie" featuring actor Will Arnett as LEGO Batman reprising his voice role from "The LEGO Movie" was number two with $19 million, and "John Wick: Chapter Two" starring Keanu Reeves reprising his role as the retired hitman who doesn't seem able to stay retired climbed back to number three with $9 million.

"Logan" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Actor Hugh Jackson promises that his final outing as the popular X-Men character will be a kick-ass and a swan song worthy of the character himself. At the edge of the Mexican border a battle weary Logan cares for his ailing friend and mentor, Professor Xavier, while hiding away from the world. "Kong: Skull Island" scheduled to open in theaters on March 10. This movie re-imagines one of the most iconic movie monsters. An expedition to an uncharted island leads to an extraordinary discovery and unleashes an epic battle between man and monster. "Power Rangers" is scheduled to open in theaters on March 24.The big budget re-imagining of the popular television series that spawned a worldwide phenomenon. Five ordinary teens thrown together by fate are transformed into something extraordinary, The Power Rangers. "Samurai Jack" returns with a brand new season Saturday, March 11 at 11p on Adult Swim.The Fifth season picks up 50 years later and Jack, thanks to the effects of Aku's magic sending him through time into the future, no longer ages. He seems a shadow of his former self, a defeated man as Aku has foiled Jack's every attempt to return to his own time. Weekend Box Office."The LEGO Batman Movie" featuring Will Arnett as the voice of LEGO Batman was number one with $33 million, "Fifty Shades Darker" the romantic drama starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan reprising their "Fifty Shades of Grey" role was number two with $20.3 million, and "The Great Wall" the action thriller starring Matt Damon and from director Zhang Yimou was number three with $18.4 million.

Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" is scheduled for March 17. The live action adaptation of beloved Disney animated feature film starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as The Beast.Featuring an all-star cast including Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as Lefou, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza,Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. 

                                                                            

"Guardians of Galaxy Vol.2" scheduled to open in May 5.This sequel will re-introduce the team of Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Baby Groot. Also returning, will be Yondo and Nebula and The Ravagers. There will be also be some new faces like the mysterious Mantis and new threats like the relentless Ayesha.

                                                                           

"Power Rangers" is scheduled to open in theaters on May 24. The re-imaging of the phenomenal television series reintroduces us to the five completely different teenagers brought together by fate and united by a shared destiny to become The Power Rangers.Together they will save their town and perhaps, the whole world as they face the threat of the evil Rita Repulsa. 

                                                                         

"King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" is scheduled to open in theaters on May12. Director Guy Ritchie gives us a new look at the Arthurian legend. Growing up as a street urchin unaware of his true destiny or purpose Arthur ( Charlie Hunnam) is not interested in power or achieving power. Weekend Box Office: "The LEGO Batman Movie" starring Will Arnett reprising the voice role of LEGO Batman from "The LEGO Movie" was number one with $55.6 million,  "Fifty Shades Darker" the sequel to the highly successful movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" was number two with $46.7 million and "John Wick Chapter 2" starring Keanu Reeves as the former hit man unwilling forced out of retirement in the sequel to its successful predecessor, "John Wick", was number three with $30 million.
                                                                       

"Logan" is scheduled to open in theaters on March 3. Actor Hugh Jackman's final outing as the X-Men character that he has popularized, much to the dismay of his fans. This movie takes to a not so distant future where mutants are all but a memory and a very worn out Logan takes care of his ailing friend Professor Xavier in a hideout at the edge of the Mexican border. Until the sudden arrival of a mysterious young girl who is being pursued by some very hostile forces gives him a reason to fight once more. 

                                                                          
                                                                                 

"Ghost in the Shell" is scheduled to open in theaters March 31. Scarlett Johansson stars as The Major in the live action version of the successful anime feature film and popular anime television series. The Major is a revolutionary human cyborg hybrid that will redefine what it means to be human. However, she her team, Section 9 will face a threat from someone who intends to see that never happens by eliminating the technology that made The Major's cybernetics possible.  

                                                                     

"Samurai Jack; Season 5" premieres on March 11 at 11pm on Adult Swim. 50 years has passed and Jack has not aged, a side effect of time travel. With Aku having thwarted his every attempt to return to the past Jack seems to have resigned himself to defeat, but while he might be down never count him out. 

                                                                      

"Teen Titans: The Judas Contract" the next DC Animated Movie is based on the popular Teen Titans story collected as a graphic novel. The Teen Titans have become a very formidable group. Now they are faced with an unbelievable threat, Deathstroke and Brother Blood have united to bring an end to the Teen Titans and worst of all one of their own has turned on them and revealed all their secrets, especially their weaknesses.

Weekend Box Office."Split" the thriller from director M.Night Shyamalan starring James McAvoy was number one with$14.6 million, "Rings" returns to successful horror franchise that began with "The Ring" was number two with $13 million, and "A Dog's Purpose" was the family friendly feel good film about a dog's journey from master to master through reincarnation was  number three with $10.8 million.

Marvel's "Iron Fist" will debut on Netflix streaming all episodes March 17. Finn Jones stars Danny Rand. Billed as the Final Defender, this series will pave the way for all of the heroes of Marvel's Netflix series to come together as "The Defenders". Missing and presumed dead after a plane crash, Danny returns to New York fifteen years later with the intent of claiming his family's company. "Legion" debuts on FX tomorrow night at 10 pm. Dan Stevens stars as David Haller a young man who has been made to believe he is mentally disturbed, but in truth he is a very powerful mutant whose power has not yet even begun to reach its peak.
