Weekend Box Office."Split" the thriller from director M.Night Shyamalan starring James McAvoy was number one with$14.6 million, "Rings" returns to successful horror franchise that began with "The Ring" was number two with $13 million, and "A Dog's Purpose" was the family friendly feel good film about a dog's journey from master to master through reincarnation was  number three with $10.8 million.

Marvel's "Iron Fist" will debut on Netflix streaming all episodes March 17. Finn Jones stars Danny Rand. Billed as the Final Defender, this series will pave the way for all of the heroes of Marvel's Netflix series to come together as "The Defenders". Missing and presumed dead after a plane crash, Danny returns to New York fifteen years later with the intent of claiming his family's company.  "Ghost in the Shell" is scheduled to open in theaters on March 31. Based on the popular anime and starring Scarlett Johansson as The Major a unique human-cyborg hybrid and the field leader of the elite covert task force Section 9. "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" is scheduled to open in theaters on May 5. "Legion" debuts on FX tomorrow night at 10 pm.
