Weekend Box Office: "Dunkirk" the World War II movie from director Christopher Nolan was number one with $50.5 million, "Girls Trip" the R-rated comedy starring Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Queen Latifah was number two with $30.4 million, and "Spider-Man: Homecoming" starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man in the latest incarnation of the web-slinger was number three with $22 million.
Marvel's "Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 3. The movie will feature Thor teaming up with his fellow Avenger.The Hulk in an adventure to reclaim Asgard from the Goddess of Death, Hela. The events of the movie are a prelude to the upcoming movie Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" and this movie will be a game changer by beginning a possible reshaping of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" is scheduled to open in theaters . Director Matthew Vaughn's sequel to his highly successful "Kingsman: The Secret Service", a movie that was based on a graphic novel by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons "The Secret Service". "Stranger Things" will return to Netflix with all episodes of the second season steaming beginning October 27.
