Weekend Box Office - "Exodus: Gods and Kings" director Ridley Scott epic version of the story the Moses and Ramses and the rivalry between them was number one with $24.5 million, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" the first installment in the two-part "Hunger Games" final act came in at number two with $13.2 million, and DreamWorks animation family friendly "Penguins of Madagascar was number three with $7.3 million.

                  

"The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" opens nationwide on Friday. This is to be the final movie in director Peter Jackson's Middle Earth saga and he is obviously planning to go out on a high note. This movie promises to bring the series to a very satisfying and action packed conclusion.

"Night At the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" opens this Christmas. The movie is the third installment in the series and it brings back everyone and everything we love about this series. This movie was wrapped and finished before comedian Robin Williams passing, so we get one more look at him reprising his role as President Teddy Roosevelt. CW Network's "The Flash" had a jaw dropping, head spinning mid season finale and when the show returns on Tuesday, January 20 it looks like things are just going to get even more amped up! SPOILER ALERT!  "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" the first part of the two-part climax of "The Hunger Games" saga was number one with $21.6 million, DreamWorks animation family friendly "Penguins of Madagascar" was number two with $11.1 million,"Horrible Bosses 2" the adult revenge comedy sequel was number three with $8.1 million.

                                                                       

Exodus: Gods and Kings opens in theaters this Friday. This is the story of Moses as brought to us from Director Ridley Scott ("Alien", "Blade Runner"). "The Flash" brings us a midseason finale worthy of this awesome new show. We finally get a face-off between him and the yellow blur; the man who killed his mother. The question on everyone's mind is will the identity of the mysterious yellow speedster finally be revealed.

                                                                      

"Arrow" the show that spawned "The Flash" also brings us what promises to be a kickass midseason finale with a showdown between Oliver and the Master of the League of Assassins - Ra's al Ghul.                                                                                  

                                                                                   

"Justice League: Throne of Atlantis" is the upcoming DC Animated movie coming to DVD/Blu-ray in January. Weekend Box Office - "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" the first half of the final chapter of "The Hunger Games" trilogy was number one with $56.9 million, "Penguins of Madagascar" the family friendly "Madagascar" spin-off was number two with $25.8 million, and "Big Hero 6" the family friendly Marvel comic inspired Disney CG animated movie was number three with $18.7 million.

                                                                               

Flash vs. Arrow is the CW network epic two-night crossover event bringing occurring tonight at 8. This is what those of us who watch "Arrow" have dreamed of since they announced there would be a spin-off show starring "The Flash". Part one takes place tonight on "The Flash" to be followed tomorrow night on "Arrow". "Peter Pan Live!" debuts this Thursday on NBC.Brought to us from the producers of "The Sound of Music Live!". The one night only television event stars Christopher Walken as Captain Hook and Allison Williams as Peter Pan. 

                                                                              

"Pan" is the upcoming movie that explores the origin of Peter Pan and how he came to be. The movie stars an almost unrecognizable Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Garrett Hedlund as James Hook, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily and introduces Levi Miller as Peter Pan.

                                                                                  

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens in theaters December 2015 and the recently released teaser trailer is but an appetizer before a full course meal. Weekend Box Office - "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" was number one with $123 million, "Big Hero 6" the family friendly animated Marvel/Disney movie was number two with $20.01 million, and "Interstellar" from director Christopher Nolan ( "Inception", "The Dark Knight" Trilogy) was number three with $15.1 million.

                                                                                 

"Peanuts" the beloved comic strip and animated characters created by Charles Schulz get their first new big screen movie in over three decades. The new movie gives the popular characters an upgrade through the magic of CG animation. New animation, same great characters. Don't take my word for it. Observe for yourself via the recently released trailer.

                                                                                


"Jurassic World" the long awaited return to the "Jurassic Park" franchise starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard opens this coming summer on June 12. The highly anticipated first trailer has recently been released. Check it out.

                                                                           

"Cinderella" is getting a big screen live action update. Hot of the heels of the highly successful "Maleficent" we get a live action re-imagining of the classic Disney fairy tale. View the recently released trailer and see if you you find it as promising as I do.

                                                                                     

"Peter Pan Live!" is the upcoming television event from the producers of "The Sound of Music Live!". Starring Christopher Walken as Captain Hook and Allison Williams in the title role, this program will air on next Thursday on NBC. Weekend Box Office -  "Dumb and Dumber To" which reteamed Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels was number one with $38 million, Disney's "Big Hero 6" was number two with $36 million, and "Interstellar" was number three with $29.2 million.

                                                                               

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" opens this Friday. I'm certain that I'm not the only one looking forward to seeing how this epic movie's two-part conclusion brings the final book to life. The CW Network series "The Flash" airs tonight with a brand new episode entitled "The Flash is Born!". Hopefully that means that he actually starts getting referred to as "The Flash" instead of silly nickname "The Streak".

                                                                                    

The CW network series "Arrow" airs tomorrow with a new episode "Draw Back Your Bow". A female archer named Cupid is stalking The Arrow and she like most stalkers she wants to love him to death.

                                                                                  

"Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For" comes out today on DVD/Blu-ray/Digital HD. The sequel was not as well received as the original movie. However, if you're a fan of Frank Miller or Robert Rodriguez or both, then that alone makes this worth your while.

                                                                                 

"Young Justice" is perhaps one of the best superhero team animated series that ever aired on television. In my opinion, it was easily a close second to the "Justice League" animated series. Season two comes out today on DVD/Blu-ray and if you haven't seen this series I highly recommend that you check it out. Weekend Box Office - Disney's "Big Hero 6" was number one with $56.2 million, "Interstellar" director Christopher Nolan's epic space odyssey was number two with $50 million, and "Gone Girl" the mystery-suspense thriller returned to the top three at number three with $6.1 million. 

                                                                              

"The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies" opens on Dec.7. The latest trailer hit the internet recently to much fan excitement. This installment looks even more action packed than the previous movies in the series. "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" opens in theaters on November 21. Their is a great deal of excitement for what will be the grand finale of this epic trilogy; way too much to fit in one movie. Weekend Box Office - "Nightcrawler", the thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal was number one with $10.91 million, "Ouija" the horror movie inspired by the supernatural board game was number two with $10.90 million, "Fury" the WWII tank action-drama was number three with $9.10 million.

                                                                              

"Disney's Big Hero 6" is the Marvel comic adapted by Disney animation as a family friendly animated movie. Little was known about the project since it was kept ultra top secret for quite a while. All that was known was that the feature was based a little know Marvel Comics title. The movie opens on Friday and speculation is rampant about how well this movie will do. Check out the trailer it actually looks like quite a fun movie.

                                                                                     

                                                                             

"Interstellar" from director Christopher Nolan ("The Dark Knight trilogy") opens this Friday. This big budget sci-fi epic is grounded in the real scientific theory. Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan co-wrote the screenplay and consulted with some of the best and brightest at JPL and NASA.



"Maleficient" starring Angelina Jolie in the title role created a lot of buzz when the first photos of her as the character surfaced. The movie turned out to be one  of the biggest success stories of this year. Now available on DVD/ Blu-ray this is a great addition to any movie collection.

                                                                                  

"Hercules" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the down to earth version of the legendary hero. Available today on DVD/ Blu-ray the movie is an adaptation of the graphic novel "Hercules: The Thracian Wars" by writer Steve Moore and artist Admira Wijaya from Radical Comics.
