Weekend Box Office. "Rampage" based the popular arcade video game and starring Dwayne Johnson and Naomie Harris was number one with $34.5 million, "A Quiet Place" the creature feature thriller directed by and starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt was number two with $32.6 million, and "Truth and Dare" the horror thriller from Blumhouse starring Lucy Hale was number three with $19 million. 

                                                                               

Disney*Pixar's "The Incredibles 2" is scheduled to open in theaters on June 15. Written and directed by Brad Bird ("The Incredibles","Iron Giant") the movie picks up where the original left off. Helen Parr a.k.a. Elastigirl is called upon to be the face of a campaign to bring Supers back into the spotlight. Meanwhile, her husband Bob is staying home with the kids and dealing with Jack-Jack's further developing superpowers. Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 27. Thanos comes to Earth and it's up to Earth's Mightiest Heroes to keep him from completing his quest to collect all of the powerful Infinity Stones. The Avengers must stop Thanos and his deadly minions or all is lost. Ten years of Marvel movies has culminated in this ultimate confrontation with one of the deadliest beings in the universe.

                                                                       

"The Meg" is scheduled to open in theaters on August 10. The science fiction action thriller starring Jason Statham is directed by John Turteltaub ( the "National Treasure" movies). The crew of an international undersea observation program discovers that a pre-historic 75-foot-long shark known as Megalodon is very much alive, and a clear and present danger to them and a threat to the entire ocean.

"Solo: A Star Wars Story" is scheduled to open in theaters on May 25.The origin story of one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars universe. Starring Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo. Marvel's "Avengers: Infinity War" scheduled to open in theaters on April 27. Weekend Box Office - "Ready Player One" from director Steven Spielberg and based on the best-selling novel by Ernest Clines was number one with $53.2 million, Tyler Perry's "Acrimony" the thriller starring Taraji P. Henson was number two with $17 million, and Marvel's "Black Panther" the record-breaking superhero film starring Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/The Black Panther was number three with $11.3 million.

                                                                              

"A Quiet  Place" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. The movie which stars Emily Blunt and John Krasinski as a couple trying to survive creatures that will hunt you down by the slightest sound. "Rampage" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 13. Duane Johnson stars as a primatologist named Davis Okoye who finds friend George, a highly intelligent silverback gorilla he has raised from birth, altered by a rogue genetic experiment that has gone awry. Mutating from a gentle ape to a raging creature of enormous size and stature. Discovering that other creatures have been affected like George he seeks the help of a discredited genetic engineer to find an antidote to save his friend and end the creatures' rampage.

                                                                         

Marvel's "Avengers Infinity War" is scheduled to open in theaters on April 27. The beginning of the end of this phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings together the combined heroes against a common foe whose main goal is the destruction of the entire universe. Weekend Box Office - "Pacific Rim: Uprising" the sequel to "Pacific Rim" starring actor John Boyega was number one with $28 million, Marvel's "Black Panther" the record-breaking newest addition to the MCU was number two with $17 million, and "I Can Only Imagine" the faith-based drama starring J. Michael Finley of the Christian band MercyMe was number three with $13.8 million. 

                                                                             

"Ready Player One" will open in theaters this Thursday. Director Steven Spielberg brings to life the worldwide best-selling novel by Ernest Clines, based on a screenplay by Zak Penn and Ernest Clines. "Deadpool 2" is scheduled for theaters on May 18. Ryan Reynolds reprises his role as the "Merc with a Mouth" a.k.a. Deadpool. Deadpool's usually chaotic life is further complicated by a time-traveler from the future, the cybernetic mutant from the future known as Cable (played by Josh Brolin). "Lost in Space" will premiere on April 13 on Netflix with all episodes streaming. Based on the classic television series "Lost in Space" follows the Robinson family. Unexpectedly pulled off course during a mission to establish a new colony in space and forced to crash land on a lost planet. Marvel's "Cloak & Dagger" will premiere Thursday, June 7 on Freeform.Based on the popular characters from the Marvel Comics. Weekend Box Office - Marvel's "Black Panther" starring Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther was number one for the fifth weekend in a row with $27 million, "Tomb Raider" starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft in this relaunched movie franchise based on the popular video game was number two with  $23.6 million, and "I Can Only Imagine" the Christian themed drama starring J. Michael Finley, the singer for the Christian band MercyMe, was number three with $17.1 million. 

                                                                             

Marvel's "Infinity War" is now scheduled to open in theaters on April 27. Ten years of movies from Marvel Studios culminates in this epic team-up of heroes across the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "Pacific Rim: Uprising" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. The sequel to "Pacific Rim" introduces a new team of Jaeger pilots to face the returning "Kaiju" threat led by Jake Pentecost (John Boyega), son of Stacker Pentecost, the hero who sacrificed himself to end the original "Kaiju" invasion. This new team will face a greater threat than their predecessors and they will need to work together in order to succeed to prevent keep humanity from becoming extinct.

Weekend Box Office - Marvel's "Black Panther" the record-breaking new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe was number one for the fourth week in a row with $41.1 million; Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time" from director Ava DuVernay and based on Madeline L'Engle's novel debuted at number two with  $33.3 million, and "Strangers: Prey at Night" the R-rated horror movie debuted at number three with $10.3 million.

                                                                                           

"The Grinch" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 9. Illumination (the studio that brought us "Despicable Me") and Universal Pictures present a new animated feature based on Dr. Seuss' beloved holiday classic with Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of The Grinch. 

                                                                            
                                                                            

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" is scheduled to open in theaters on November 16. J.K. Rowling returns us to the Wizarding World as we follow Newt Scamander on his mission to stop the recently escaped Dark wizard Gallery Grindelwald. The movie features Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Jude Law, and Johnny Depp. Also starring Zoe Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech.

                                                                            

Marvel's "Luke Cage" Season 2 will debut on Netflix June 22 with all episodes streaming. Luke Cage has had his name cleared and now embraces his role as "Harlem's Hero". Turning his focus to being a hero that inspires the community and protecting everyone he possibly can. Weekend Box Office. Marvel's "Black Panther" the record-breaking new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe  was number one for the third weekend in a row with $65.7 million, "Red Sparrow" the spy thriller starring Jennifer Lawrence and Joel Edgerton was number two with $17 million, and "Death Wish" director Eli Roth's re-imaging of the 1974 revenge thriller was number three with $13 million.

                                                                                         

Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time" is scheduled to open in theaters this Friday. Director Ava DuVernay brings to life the epic mind-bending adventure based on Madeline L'Engle's timeless classic.
