The Fringe team returns for a final season premiering Friday, Sept.28 at 9/8c. The show has been a breath of fresh air especially on Fox. The show which has been one of the best pieces of sci-fi on television this side of "The X-Files". Rumor has it that the show's Executive Producer J.J. Abrams plans to direct an episode. Stars of the show Anna Torv and Joshua Jackson have revealed that the new season will pick up in the future that we saw in the season four episode "Letters of Transit". This show just gets better and better.

Last and hardly least is a trailer of a new movie featuring Tom Hanks and Halle Berry. I don't know how to describe this movie other than to say it truly looks promising. The movie is brought to us by Andy and Lana ( formerly Larry) Wachowski who gave us "The Matrix". If you haven't previously seen it here's a look at "Cloud Atlas".

I could think of no more appropriate response to the tragedy in Colorado than by sharing what director Christopher Nolan posted on "The Dark Knight Rises" Facebook page.

"Speaking on behalf of the cast and crew of The Dark Knight Rises, I would like to express our profound sorrow at the senseless tragedy that has befallen the entire Aurora community.

I would not presume to know anything about the victims of the shooting but that they were there last night to watch a movie. I believe movies are one of the great American art forms and the shared experience of watching a story unfold on screen is an important and joyful pastime.

The movie theatre is my home, and the idea that someone would violate that innocent and hopeful place in such an unbearably savage way is devastating to me.

Nothing any of us can say could ever adequately express our feelings for the innocent victims of this appalling crime, but our thoughts are with them and their families."

- Christopher Nolan

Warner Bros. released a teaser trailer for next year's blockbuster movie event "The Man of Steel". I don't know if this is by accident or design, but the movie's star Henry Cavill bears a striking resemblance to "Smallville" star Tom Welling.

One of the best shows on televison, Syfy's Alpha's has returned for a second season which promises to be even better than last season, and for anyone who hasn't seen this show, that will be quite an achievement. I highly recommend this show.

Michael Fassbender will produce and act in a movie based on the popular video game series "Assassin's Creed". Fassbender is rumored to be taking on the role of bartender Desmond Miles and perhaps one of his hooded ancestors. The famous comic book character created by Jean-Claude Forest and made famous in the 1968 Jane Fonda movie "Barbarella" is coming to television. "Drive" director Nicolas Refn has teamed with executive producer Martha De Laurentis and Gaumont International Television to create a television series based on the iconic interplanetary heroine. De Laurentis and Gaumont International Television are also working on the NBC series featuring the ficitional Tom Harris cannibal/mastermind Hannibal Lecter.     Colin Farrell is quickly becoming the remake master. So far, he's been in remakes of "S.W.A.T","Miami Vice", and "Fright Night", His next movie is a remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger feature "Total Recall". Fans of the original movie were outraged to find out the remake wouldn't feature a trip to Mars and takes place exclusively on Earth. However, if the trailer is any indication we won't miss the interplanetary storyline.

The new Ben Stiller movie has a trailer that really does not reveal the true nature of this movie. The newer trailers are more revealing and turns a boring concept into what promises to be a comedy with an edge. In addition, you have Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, and Jonah Hill in this movie. Check out the trailer and see what I'm talking about.

Angelina Jolie who will be playing Sleeping Beauty villainess Maleficent in a movie that tells the story from her point of view. Disney released a production photo of the actress in makeup as the character she'll be playing. Who says a picture is no longer worth a thousand words. Thumbs up.

"Iron Man 3" began filming and the first photos from from the set have already shown up on the internet. The movie is currently filming in Wilmington, North Carolina. Production schedule locations include Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina; Miami, Florida; and China. One of the photos caused an internet rumor explosion regarding a potential villain in the movie. The photo of a red, white, and blue suit of armor sparked rumors that comic book villain Norman Osburn would be in the movie as "The Iron Patriot". However, Marvel Studios revealed that the armor is instead a version of the "War Machine" armor worn by the character James Rhodes played by Don Cheadle. The most persistant rumor is that Tony Stark/Iron Man will head to China to face one of his toughest comic book villains... "The Mandarin".

The graphic novel inspired the look and feel of Tim Burton's "Batman" movie and changed the whole comic book industry. The featurette seen here is a preview of what we can expect.

Fans of the Marvel Universe show "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" howled in anger and disgust at the news that Marvel is cancelling the series to launch another Avengers series more closely related to the movie. The current series is such a pitch perfect animated show featuring characters that aren't seen in "The Avengers" movie or any Marvel movie. Ant Man, The Wasp, and The Black Panther have yet to be in any movie, yet these characters are a huge part of Avengers comic history and an integral part of the show. Will these characters show up in the new series or will they be sacrificed to make way for a more movie oriented show, instead of a show that fans of the comics really enjoy. Also, the current story line is a brilliant mash-up of the "Kree-Skrull War" and "The Secret Invasion" comic book story arcs. The new series entitled "Avengers Assemble" doesn't have an air date as yet, but the demise of the successful and really brilliant "Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes" is apparently a done deal. Pity. It was the only reason I personally watched that Marvel Universe block on Disney XD. That "Ultimate Spider-Man" show is way too goofy for me.I mean really, Power Man and Iron Fist as teenagers; and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Don't even get me started. The late lamented "Spectacular Spider-Man" series was a much better incarnation. Oh well. We're just the fans, it's not like our opinions matter. Take a look at scenes from this fan made video complete with the theme song that originally opened the show. 'Nuff said.
