Thor was number one at the box office for the second week in a row. I saw the movie with my kids this past weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. It was better than I expected, and I really think a great deal of that is due to director Kenneth Branagh. He really knocked it out the park with this one. I was especially thrilled with the scene at the end of the credits that bridges the gap between this movie and the upcoming "Captain America" movie and subsequently, "The Avengers".

Color me surprised! NBC has passed on the Wonder Woman series after a Warner Bros. pilot was produced. Really, anyone who is actually surprised by this has completely forgotten that this is the network that eighty-sixed a bunch of shows to have Jay Leno on at 10 p.m. Monday - Friday. First, they cancel "The Cape" which was getting more and more interesting, and then they decide they don't want a "Wonder Woman" series. Apparently, they are still exercising the Jay Leno fiasco style of decision making. No wonder one of the popular predictions on "Hollywood Uncensored" is the demise of network television in its current form. That's all I'm saying about that.
One of the many trailers they previewed before we watched the "Thor" movie and one that generated a lot of excitement was "Green Lantern". I have heard a lot of comments that this is the movie that's looks the most entertaining and exciting. I'm thinking this is the movie that I would most like to see in 3D.

The CW network will rebroadcast the two-hour series finale of "Smallville" on Thursday, May 19 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) I highly recommend viewing it if you haven't already.
"Thor: Tales of Asgard" is being released by Lionsgate on May 17 (That would be today). I originally saw the trailer fot this animated movie on the DVD for "Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow" animated movie. Submitted for your enjoyment the trailers for both of these animated movies.

F.Y.I. They don't mention who the mother of the Black Panther's son is. However, since the boy generates lightning and the woman who The Panther is married to in the comics can do the same, we can surmise that his mother is Ororo Munroe, the mutant superheroine know as Storm.
