"Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens in theaters this Friday. The wait is almost over for this highly anticipated big screen superhero slugfest. For the first time ever The Dark Knight, The Man of Steel, and The Amazing Amazon will share the silver screen. This is an event that the fandom has always dreamed of.
Marvel's "Daredevil" is now streaming both Season One and the recently released Season Two of this awesome and kick-ass Netflix series. This is the version of the character that we only dared imagine. The inclusion of The Punisher and Elektra has only served to make this series even more jaw-dropping,exciting work of art. Kudos to all involved, this show completely rocks! I highly recommend it.
Disney's "The Jungle Book" will open in theaters on April 15, less than a month from now. Every trailer or TV spot that Disney releases only serves to increase my anticipation for this live action movie adaptation of the classic Disney animated feature. While both versions are based on the classic book by Rudyard Kipling, this version appears to be a bit edgier and closer to the Kipling book based on the trailers.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" opens in theaters May 27. This movie that follows up on the events of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and introduces their latest adversary, Apocalypse. Believed to be the first mutant and worshiped as a god for his power and immortality, Apocalypse intends to live up to his name and bring an end to human civilization.
"The Legend of Tarzan" scheduled for release July 1 is the latest adaptation of the character created by author Edgar Rice Burroughs. This version starring Alexander Skarsgard as Tarzan and Margot Robbie as Jane is probably closer to the Burroughs books than previous versions. The movie also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Djimon Hounsou, John Hurt, Jim Broadbent, and Cristoph Waltz.
