Weekend Box Office: "Dunkirk" the World War II drama from director Christopher Nolan was number one with $28.1 million, "The Emoji Movie" the animated family movie featuring T.J. Miller voicing the main character, the emoji "Meh", was number two with $25.7 million, and "Atomic Blonde" the blood and guts, gritty spy thriller produced by and starring Charlize Theron was number three with $18.5 million.

"Justice League" scheduled to open in theaters in November. Following the events of "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" Bruce Wayne is inspired by Superman's sacrifice to seek out other metahumans with the help of his new ally Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman. "Gotham" returns for season four airing on a new night, beginning Thur. Sept. 28 on Fox. Season Three ended with both Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle beginning to embrace their respective destinies. "Lucifer" returns Oct.2 with a brand new season on Fox. Last season ended with Lucifer sending his mother to an empty void to start her own universe. He was on his way to reveal who he was to his partner Chloe when he was hit from behind. He woke up to find himself in the desert with his wings back which is but a hint of things to come.

                                                                       

"Freedom Fighters: The Ray" CW Seed's newest animated DC super hero show takes place on a parallel Earth where the Nazis won World War II. Present day America is ruled over by The New Reichsmen, evil versions of Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl.
